I have to ask.....if I have to put a baggie on my hand to feel how rough the paint is, how rough is it, really...
If I were a betting man, I would bet there is no visible difference between a car that has a clay bar used on it and one that hasn't. And yes, I have used a clay bar and couldn't tell any visual difference.

And....the smoother/flatter the paint surface the better the reflection.
As far as preventing bird droppings from staining the paint I have never had this problem with my Klasse regime.
After the fact maybe a cleaning compound is needed or a stronger polish.
As I said I have never had this problem with the cars that I cared about with the Klasse sealant.
