Wash, dry, clay, polish, wax, trim dressing and detail spray to remove wax residue. That's my quarter year treatment loving for both my rides. Normal wash and dry with trim dressing, of course, every other week.

If I were a betting man, I would bet there is no visible difference between a car that has a clay bar used on it and one that hasn't. And yes, I have used a clay bar and couldn't tell any visual difference.

I have 3 cars that I wax twice a year. I try to clay before I polish and wax, but sometimes I skip the clay. I have noticed that the wax lasts longer on a clayed car. Waxing over paint contaminants causes the wax to wear off faster.
