Tesla?

the kicker is not only being fast, but having a ton of low end torque available and being VERY easy to drive fast consistently. the average Tesla S driver is going to spank the average corvette driver. a good corvette driver will edge em out though. bearing in mind beyond the quarter mile the tesla S is very close to it's maximum speed limit, on a longer run the vette would keep pulling and pulling!
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I'd take the vette any day...
When I (or anyone else who owns a Corvette) nail it I want to hear that V8 roar to life, within reason, of course ;-)
I hear ya. Hard to believe there's anyone left on the planet who hasn't heard about Tesla, and it's electric design. However, we must take into consideration that some folks have a life outside of cars.

I guess I'm a reactionary.
I don't care if the day comes that a Duracell powered 4,300 lb. car, smokes a 3,300 lb 750 hp 'vette, all day long.
I'll still buy the internal combustion engine.
All one needs to do, is listen to Don Garlits' electric dragster, kinda make a whining, whooshing sound out of the hole, to realize the sound of power is gone. It's an feeling of, well,....no excitement.

Or most of it!
My friend's GT-R comes to mind.
But, I couldn't care less.
Every time I flop into my GS, strap on the seat belt, and listen to the LS3 crank and start, I feel like I just put on a Superman suit.
