Assuming you have a smartphone and data plan Verizon is already charging you so it wouldn't be extra unless you exceed your plan. (caveat: if your not on an unlimited data plan it would be wise to monitor your usage as VZW will be very happy to take you to the cleaners.) Pandora has a free service with advertising and a paid subscription plan. It is a a downloadable app you can get from the app play store(Android devices). I don't subscribe to Apple so can't speak for the iphone or their app store.
Hope this helps.
and like i recently stated, this old timer has consumer cellular and i pay a total of about $60 bucks a month which includes 1gb of data and 1200 minutes of talk time for both my wife and i. plus 5000 text words or messages, not quite sure. not to mislead anyone only my phone has the 1gb of data due to the fact the wife only has the regular flip phone. it used to be mine but i took her smart phone once i realized the pandora being able to play in the vette. so yeah, my smart phone and her "dinosaur" flip phone for about $60 a month.

I'm a fan of Pandora and listen on a regular basis. I have VZW with an unlimited data plan so no concern on usage.
My '10 GS radio doesn't have an aux input so I went with the Kamal aux 2 cable and it's connect thru my xm, works really well.

Maybe I don't have an aux input either in my '11 GS...
I'm not home right now to check.
Depends on what unit you have. The one out of my '08 was a single disc with navigation. Sold for $300 on flebay. I upgraded to Kenwood and never looked back.
I have the stock bose gps in my 2005. I installed bt and personally like spotify. It's free like Pandora or commercial free for small fee. My wife has xm but I love the premade play lists on spotify. Click on my musical mood and sit back and enjoy.
Ok people. What gives? Just looked inside my center console of my 2011 GS 3LT coupe.
No aux port. Just a cigarette lighter port.
That blows! Mine has USB port plus aux. input. Wish I could help you out but I'm a novice at this sort of thing. I'm sure you'll find an answer by back tracking on the thread. I think someone mentioned a harness type set up. Good luck.
My 2012 has both a USB port and a 3.5mm aux. port.
I have the same on my 2012 (naturally), but have you used that aux port to play Pandora? I have tested it once with my SG 5 and was somewhat disappointed in the sound quality. Yes, it played Pandora songs, but it just didn't sound right. I use Pandora through Bluetooth in my 2013 Subaru and it works great, and the same in my GF's 2012 Prius. I think I am back to using thumb drive recorded music via the USB in the 2012 vette.

Can you use the USB connected to your phone to play Pandora? When I had my old '12 Sierra HD it wouldn't play through the USB but my wifes old '12 Acadia Denali did. At least GM got to the point that all my '14 & '15 vehicles stream via bluetooth.

No. Unless I am really missing something here, the USB is great for charging the phone, but otherwise it doesn't accomplish anything else. I had to connect the phone's 3.5mm jack outlet to the aux port on the console to get it Pandora to work.
I can stream Pandora Bluetooth with other vehicles, like you did, but 'no dice' on the 2012 vette. I have heard reports that an Iphone works with the USB for charging and for connecting Pandora, but I can't confirm that.

I didn't know how your's was. GM is horribly inconsistent with radios of the same year in different vehicles. My wifes 15 Acadia Denali nav is easier to use via voice commands than my 15 Sierra Denali HD is and my truck cost 17K more. But at least they stream bluetooth really easy, one is voice commanded the other is a hard button below the nav.

Yes, I have used it play Pandora with an SG 4 and actually I thought it sounded pretty good. I have not used the USB port except to charge my phone. According to the manual it will work with an IPod but i have not tried it.

Most will play an ipod but some won't play iphone.
I use the USB to play music from my flash drives and the aux. input for pandora which sounds very good in my opinion. I wonder if you could play pandora using the USB port? I'll try that tomorrow and post my findings.
