Ha ha, I can grasp what your saying, I have all along. That's what I think is funny.
Clearly you don't....lmao...if you think for one minute I am proudly proclaiming anything about reliability. All I did was answer a question about reliability...

Just drove my 2007 from home to San Francisco today. 7 hours of comfort, power and 28.2 mpg. Pretty sweet combination. Ran like a champ. I love my car.
Delivered Jan. 24th, 2013, now 2 1/2 years old with 7,600 miles.
The damn thing has had a flat in the R/Front tire.
Every 100 miles I have to clean the wheels, or the brake dust turns them brown.
On hot days, after an hour or so of driving, the brakes will some times screech.
The original GY tires show so much wear after only 7,600 miles, that I suspect, I'll need new tires at 10k miles.
On a road trip to Key West just a week ago, the navigation unit, mistakenly instructed me to make an incorrect turn.
Every year I've had to change the oil, and it takes 10.5 qts. which is expensive.
The best I can average on an extended road trip is about 26 mpg.
After spending $56k for this GS, it is not nearly as fast as a GT-R Nismo.
And, as if all of that isn't enough, just a few days ago I heard a creaking sound from the roof panel.
No more Corvettes for me!
My neighbor owns a Prius, and has had nearly 4 years, and 25,000 miles of trouble free driving!
No brake dust, no roof creaks, no flats, still on his original tires, and his nav unit has never made a mistake, and he gets 40 mpg.
I never said I didn't like the car. I was just making a statement about its reliability. You would think I was talking about peoples Mama by questioning a corvettes repair record the way people are taking it so personally.
My 13 GS has 29k miles. I had to have both Bose bass door speakers replaced and the left rear hub under warranty. The passenger side door speaker is starting to rattle again. The top started to pop after about a year and half. All that was needed to fix it was to put grease on the front levers contact point.
and yes I own a Ural. And yes my 2013 corvette only has 900 miles on it. It is having a steering issue. Looks like it will need a steering rack replacement.
So a steering rack at 900 miles seems OK to you all? and a recall.
This is not a good start when my C4 was pretty reliable.
From: Currently somewhere in IL,IN,KY,TN,MO,AR,MS,AL, or FL
I owned a C4 for almost 20 years and now a C6 for 8. The C4 was always having something wrong and the C6 has been almost totally problem free. And the issues I've had have cost less than $200 so far compared to the thousands I spent on the C4. Sounds like it is just you.
Wasn't making a joke, Ural's are pretty cool little bikes. They all come with sidecar's right? And as for your car, don't sweat, they'll fix it and couple of years from now you'll be on here posting how you love your C6 just like the rest of us.
Hey Uralman it sucks to all of us when we have an issue with our beloved Corvettes. I am sure that I would not have been happy to have had a problem with mine right from the start. Bottom line is that anything made by man is not perfect and subject to breakage or failure occasionally. If you have read the replies to your post you should take heart in the fact that these cars seem to be pretty reliable overall. That does not mean that you will never have any kind of problem. Get it fixed and get past it. I am sure that once you do you will start to enjoy your ride immensely. I could have saved a lot of money and bought a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry or some other mundane vehicle with super high reliability ratings. None of those other cars would give you the pride of ownership and driving thrills that your vette will. This is my third Corvette with the last being a 1981 I sold in 85. I think it is the most impressive car I have ever owned. It is not perfect but I never tire of admiring the lines and each time behind the wheel is a joy So my advice is to get it fixed and enjoy it. The Corvette is an American icon and one fine driving machine. You are not stuck with it forever. You could always sell it, buy a Mustang and be one of the herd!!
Not just you. My 08 is the least reliable car I have owned. Bought it with 30,000 miles and now have 78,000. Replaced transmission, end links, leather dash, water pump, oil pan gasket, interior wiring repaired, mass air flow, and headlight lenses. Brakes and other items are normal wear and to be. Expected. Fun car to drive but build quality is poor. I have owned English sports cars that were more reliable.

Well Well uralman, you should be starting to get the picture by now. Lots of in denial and sarcasm when it comes to peoples beloved Corvettes....LOL. But you have to have a keen eye as some of the sarcasm is so sneaky, you don't realize you've just been pooped on...LOL. Some of the post seem to act like a problem doesn't count if its covered by warranty. Never could figure that one out. A problem is a problem whether its under warranty or not. Regardless....for all the people that have 75-K plus on their Vettes with "Absolutely no problems"...then good for you and consider yourself extremely lucky. For all the rest of us, and anyone else considering a Corvette.....if you by one expecting 100-K trouble free miles......good luck.
I've owned a C3, C4, C5 and currently a C6 and I can honestly say I've had no problems with any of them. The C5 and C6 was/are daily drivers and no maintenance issues what so ever. My experience has been great !
Sorry to hear your having problems. Crap happens no mater how well built they are. True for all makes and models.
Hope you can get it fixed and start enjoying your C6.
My experience has been the exact opposite of yours. My C4 has required way too many repairs. The list would probably crash this Web page it is so long.
And my C6 has been very reliable over the last 8 years and 152,000 miles. Fuel pump was the biggest problem, could smell gas in the car. Had it replaced at 75,000 miles along with half shaft seals on diff. Shocks, brakes, tires etc etc, normal wear and tear items gave been replaced.

Come on now... "Is it ok?" is not what you asked in your original post -- you asked if because you had a problem with YOUR car early on, does it mean that ALL C6 are poorly built? Clearly, the answer from the group majority was "no" and gave their own experiences to illustrate. Apparently you did not get the answer you wanted.
As you've found here, however, if you just want to look for someone that will commiserate with your belief that the model is crap, you indeed can find them, just as you can on any car forum.
