I really enjoy this forum and learned almost everything I know about my Corvette here. If I can help a new owner with something I have done myself with success, I will pass it on. I usually do not give my opinion even when a poster asks for opinions. Too subjective and why would somebody really care what I think about his or her car anyway. That entire thought process is beyond me. I also stay away from posts like "is this a good deal" or "LS2 or LS3" threads. We all love (or hate) our car and will not be swayed either way and reading that somebody thinks an LS2 is junk is only going to **** me off a little. Pretty easy to vet those threads out and stay away from them. I respect almost everybody in here. Some have my utmost repect because of either their technical knowledge, sense of humor or even their sarcasm. There are a couple of people here (2 that I can think of) that are just jerks. Believe it or not, I actually get a kick out them as well. Anyway, I understand getting a little upset once in a while but it really is a great forum with a lot of nice people on it. I am also a surfer and trying to get a coherent thought on those forums is llike trying to win the lottery. Keep posting Don, we need you.

Ahhh, it doesn't matter, mine is the best because I own it.
Sound familiar?
Well, your wheels are black.......... Ba dump bump......love ya Hammy, mean it.

Don, if you only read and not post, we'll be without your wit and wisdom. My life is dreary enough already.

Don, I'll tell ya, our society has become so politically correct these days, that no matter what you say, someone is going to be offended.

Just a few months ago, I told a joke at a party.
I found out very quickly, that one of the folks at this party, was a native American.
Actually, Mescalero Apache, and I had to apologize.

The joke went like this...
A young Indian boy asked his grandfather, how Indians got their names.
The wise grandfather explained to the young lad, that an Indian is named after the very first thing that the mother sees, after the child is born.
That is why your mother is named, Running Deer, and your father was named Rising Moon.
Then the grandfather said,..."why do you ask, Two Dogs Fu*king?"

Just a joke, do you see any reason to be offended over something as silly as that?

Nope...no reason at all...and i'm part Native American....but Let us not forget that we live in a society that once made the maker of a kitchen cleaning tool change the name from "Chore girl"....to "Chore Boy" just to be politically correct.

The forum's a great source of information (thank you very much) and entertainment.

It never ceases to amaze me how absurd some of the comments can be, but that's part of the entertainment as well.

It is gratifying though, to know you've helped someone that has been perplexed by one of the many C6 quirks/issues simply by sharing something you've learned first hand or passing along a solution that's been documented here by any number of smart car people who actually care enough to share their wisdom/insight.

Wading through the posts by the trolls and a$$holes is just the cost of being part of such a large group of internet knuckleheads.

Well said Surfer.

Don, I have learned sooo much on this forum, from fixing the glove box latch with a tie wrap, skip shift with a blown smart fuse to Rangers clutch fluid change and so many many more. But, as Hbsurfer stated, when it comes to subjects like "LS2 or LS3" I read for pure entertainment.
Try to thicken your skin a little and stayed tuned and mean that in the nice's way.

I find this site to be GREAT. Lot's of good folks and the banter (some would call it something different) is always great. As you can tell from my stellar amount of posting, I don't post THAT often. I do read a lot more then I post. But some great info has been found on this site. Both when I had my C5 and now with my C6.

Since I could not make up my mind between Black (what I was really wanting) and chrome I got black chrome wheels - so I could try to pi** everyone off!
