Well I started the customer car yesterday after lunch and got both headlights mounted. We did find there is a difference in the C6 and the Z06 and the Grand Sport front inner wheel wells shape - and likely by year slightly as well. Not a big deal at all just took a few more test-fit steps of on-off with the fender to adjust the headlight buckets that come with the kit. It's really going well.
Also I should have a narrow body kit available within the month!!
The kit price right now is going to run $1900 but there will be an intro pricing for pre-orders of $1500. Shipping will be damn cheap too. No huge parts. You supply the headlights although I may have a set here and there available for sale.
We will offer local installs of the kit (or ship your car to us) for $1500 to the point you're ready for paint.
Will be doing the bodywork tomorrow (since I'm out of town today) and have it in primer by tomorrow night ready for paint. Here's a pic with the driver headlight in and the outer panels over it. This is before any body work or bonding. I know the body panel lines on the kit don't line up in this picture. The headlight was not bolted in yet for this one.
My specs.
2005 C6 Base model
Wide-body rear kit from RPI
Spacers on rear tires
ZR1 tail spoiler
ZR1 side skirts
ZR1 front splitter
Base model bumper
Base model fenders
Angel Eye Headlight /foglight kit
Lambo doors.
What will the price be for fenders, lights. wiring kit, and pre-painted black. I will bolt on fenders, install lights myself. I am looking for a kit that contain everything needed for the modification.
I want to upgrade to C7 headlights on base bumper & base fenders
when you are ready..Awesome idea

Sorry for all the delays guys. We did finish a customers car last week and it came out awesome. I have the plug-and-play harnesses done so there will be no wire cutting just plug this pigtail in between the car and the headlight. Going tomorrow to get packaging built from a local company that builds boxes and packaging.
I should have the website updated in the next week or two at the latest for our pre-ordering sale price of $1500. No one's going to be able to test this price!
We will also be offering installation. For an additional $1500 give us your car for a week and you will have your kit and headlights installed, and primer and ready to sand and paint. For $3000 plus your kit and headlights it will be installed and painted. Then wet sanded and buffed and ready to go!

Headlights simply plug in with this harness. No cutting. Also includes a no-cut plug and play switch for hi/low DRL if you ever want to turn them off or only run them dim at night like the C7 does. I run mine bright day and night and they look awesome. Makes the car look like it has LED headlights at night.
Only time I've ever turned them off is when I'm sitting in a parking lot with the car running and don't want them on. Switch is easy, prewired install and hidden from view unless you want it somewhere else than where we put it.

I have a base convertible sitting at the shop I may do the conversion ok next. Depends if a customer wants theirs done before I do my next one. Our bolt in fiberglass headlight bucket and plug in harness will fit the same as on any C6. I tested a set of panels on the outside of the fender and it will only be minor modification to the bumper/Fender panels for a base non-Widebody to fit. I hope to have those available next month.
If anyone with a narrow body wants us to install or install and paint the conversion on your car you can drop it off to us or ship it to us in Central FL. If it's the first one I would need it for 7-10 days but I'd give you a discount for the additional time I need to mold the pieces and make sure there aren't any other changes to be made. Give me a call. I already have two committed Widebody installs and a third sending deposit later today. Narrow body would take some priority on the schedule to get it done.
I'd like to know what technique and product will be used at your shop blend the panel into the fender. I would hate have cracks or seams 3-4 years down the road when I'm ready to sell the car.

Hey Stp,
The headlight buckets are bolt in. The panels for the fender and bumper go on using 3M panel bond. This is the same stuff that is used to put panels and door skins on cars from the factory. I have many friends in the automotive body shop industry that use it and love it. I also contacted 3M directly and got in touch with their engineers and chemists to confirm that this is the absolute best stuff for attaching fiberglass to Corvette fenders and bumpers. I am very confident that it will stand the test of time. I have intentionally left my Corvette, the first one done, out in the FL sun most of the time since completion. I also spent about half a day doing about 30 high heat cycles using a UV bodyshop heat lamp and then cooling it with a cold garden hose to simulate cold to hot to cold cycles that far exceed what the sun would do - even in FL. The panels use vinylester resin which is better for quality parts. It costs more and it's more of a pain to lay up the pieces but it doesn't shrink like the cheap resin does over time in most any other fiberglass aftermarket parts out there. Of course you can always sand the back of the bumper and fender and put a layer or two of fiberglass on the backside a few inches overlapping the bonded area to make the factory parts rigid and absolutely prevent any future cracks from flexing. Although panel bond is very strong, I do this on my installs though many body guys will agree it's overkill.
Mike Vetter who helped us design this kit and install it has been building fiberglass cars for over 20 years for a living. He knows his stuff. As do the other guys I know who do paint and body.
Hope this helps. Trust me you won't stop smiling and looking at the car when it's done. It's like having a new Vette only more fun because you probably won't ever pull up next to another one on the road!
