It is similar but with more settings. I believe the SprintBooster only has 2 or 3 settings? The Vitesse allows you to increase throttle response from 0-9 or allows you to retard throttle response from 0-7, if the situation calls for it.

And if NSF welches out on this deal, I'll need you to help him "find his checkbook."

If anyone is interested I'll trade up my Diablo custom tune for the vitesse. Any takers?

They can work in tandem with each other. No need to give up your tune.

Ordered mine today, also have a custom Diablew tune. Will report back on how well it works. Winters in Nebraska aren't the best for testing but should get a decent day at some point.

What's your opinion on the tune? I have one but haven't configured it to my car thru the computer.

I definitely like the tune. The car is alot more responsive and the transmission shifts are alot firmer. Will run all the way up to 6500 rpm before shifting. I also liked the idea of being able to return to stock if ever needed.

In my opinion a tune weather it be a canned tune or a custom dyno tune and a throttle controller are two separate things. Someone with more knowledge than myself could probably explain it so we all could understand.

An engine tune changes the a lot of things in the computer makes the car run like it should. This is why some tuners recommend a 160 stat due to timing advance. Trans tune changes shift points and stiffness of shifts. This is totally separate from what this product does. This product removes the delay GM put in our cars. This will not effect the computer, It is done at the Gas Pedal. One can be used with the other and actually enhance your driving experience. Please remember to turn this down all the way if you valet your car.

The Diablo tune changes the parameters such as timing , Fuel etc , I loaded the 93 octane Diablo Tune and you can feel the difference in the way the car performs . you only get maybe , if you are lucky 15 horse power from a canned tune but you can feel the difference throughout the RPM range.

Nothing different than what we did on the old days when we changed the timing, added advance weights to the distributor , advanced the cam if we had an automatic and changed jets in the carburetor except with this its all done with a computer now

You can also load the TCM ( transmission Control Module) tune which changes the shift points and firms up the shifts. Again no different that in the old days when we increased line pressure and added a modified throttle body

You can also turn off Torque Management .... which really wakes up the car but be careful with this one . I have my TM set to "off" but its real easy to put the car into a tree if I have my Throttle Controller turned up to SP9 and the car is not pointing straight

Some say that they cannot feel any difference so I can only speak for myself , The tune really woke my car up and when it shifts from first to second it will snap your neck

The Vitesse Throttle controller just modifies the throttle response curve . GM has a huge negative EXPONETIAL curve programed into the Corvette which is perceived by us as throttle Lag . The controller depending on the setting you chose removes or adds EXPONETIAL by just sending a modified signal and fooling the ECM on what position to put the throttle blade

The reason why I like both so much is as others have stated , with the Diablo you can return your car back to stock at any time , modify other parameters if you chose and with the throttle controller I can chose any setting I want instead of one that GM or a Tuner chose for me .

I can also remove it if I want just by unplugging it .

Since I don't want to overpower the tires and get the car all crossed up , if I was going to go to MEXICO and push it as hard as I can I would turn the controller down to SP7 but leave everything else alone , at this setting the car feels like my 1970 SS LS6 Chevelle putting as much power down to the ground, pulling hard all the way up to the red line , snap your neck when shifting but still controllable

Dave

I agree, I also went with a 342 Diff and a retune to set everything up. This is a great mod the pedal response is instant. It pulls like a train.

Ahhh just like the old days ... no quicker way to get down the quarter mile than adding a set of gears

Got my Vitesse Throttle controller/enhancer in the mail today. It took about 30 minutes to put it in. Very simple very easy to set up.
It has an economy setting 0-9 and a sport setting 0-9.
(First I guess I should let you know that I have had the car Dyno tuned). The SP9 setting put the car into BEAST MODE. Slight pressure on the gas pedal and it downshifts, revs and flies...
City driving should be good on SP5-6.
Economy mode tames it ALOT. Great for letting the wife drive it when she wants... Haha
I've put about 20 miles on it in SP9 and it's a blast! Total transformation, even tho I've done:
BBK Cold air intake
BBK larger throttle body
Cat back exhaust
160 Deg thermostat
Dyno tuned (aggressively with trans. tune)
Would recommend !
I hid controller in center console.
