No FOB Detected, Cannot start the Car
My 2008 Z06 says "No FOB Detected" when trying to start the car. I changed the battery in the FOB and it still does not work. Cannot unlock or lock doors either. Tried the second FOB and got the same results. I also tried starting the car with both FOB's in the glove box slot. It still says no FOB detected and will not start. Luckily this happened at home ind in the garage. Anybody have an idea of what the problem could be? I am glad I sprung for the GMEPP.

Take a look at eboggs' checklist in here. It pretty much covers everything:

Tried both of my FOBS and neither worked in the glove box. My car battery is 3 years old this month. It has spent a lot of time on a battery tender. The original battery lasted 5 years. I just hooked up the battery tender and will see if that helps.

It is probably not the car battery. The interior lights come on. I can open the door normally as the car is unlocked. The headlights also work.

I did not have exactly the same problem as you, but my car would allow me to open the door, the interior lights worked, and the headlights worked. However, when I tried to start the car, suddenly all the lights went dim, and of course the car wouldn't start. I checked the battery with a volt meter and discovered it had only 11 volts in it. I hooked up a battery charger to it for a couple hours, and checked the voltage again, and it registered nearly 14 volts. When I tried to start the car again, the same thing happened. I checked the voltage at the battery and it was down to 10 volts. New battery cured my problem. The old battery had a dead cell apparently. I have no idea how old the battery was as it came in the car when I bought it last March. So even though your battery is only 3 years old, it still could be bad. JMHO
