I think it is tasteless. Who is going to ask themselves, "What kind of car is that?"...a 90-year-old lady?
Now, if you wanted to put on one that said "HENNESSEY" or "CALLAWAY", that might make sense.

I'm fundamentally opposed to displaying free advertising for any brand or logo, whether it is stickers on my cars, T-shirts, tattoos, whatever. (and so far, no one's willing to pay me to do it :-) ). I'm not a fanboy for any product.

: I absolutely agree....to some point. The first thing I do when getting home after purchasing a new auto is remove anything thats advertisement from the dealer. But I won't go so far as to pull off the factory emblems.

In California it must be illegal, but I see out of state cars with a dealer emblem bolted right onto the car. Maybe you have to pay extra for them *not* to do that?
And I always smile when I see someone driving around with a license plate frame from the dealer. Especially if it's one from Hertz. Sorry... I'm sure they sell fine used rentals, but it's just not for me.

I Like it! Lot of negativity here. But I don't look at as advertisement or trying to let someone that doesn't know its a corvette what it is by putting a banner across the windshield. Those that don't know what it is with or without a banner probably aren't interested anyways. And I don't look at the banner as advertisement either. To me its all about pride of ownership. But to each his own I guess.

Keeping em clean and tip top defiantly shows pride of ownership, I do the same. but so does the mods that many if not most of of us do.With all due respect what some think looks cheap others may think looks great. Thank goodness we all get to make up our own minds.

If I parked my cheap trash next to your bone stock no one would even notice your car, it may as well be a Chevy cavalier. My car is 11 years old and yes it needs help because the plain body style has become dated with the now new c7s. But now when I park my car next to a brand new C7 the C7 doesn't even get noticed. If your trying to make a classic out of a C6 it aint happening any time soon. I have nothing against those that wish to keep the car stock, but coming on here bashing those that wish to make there car better, and or different is the wrong answer.

When I owned a sign company I had a huge FORD oval in the etched look vinyl on the tailgate window of my '83 Bronco. I finally got rid of it because it was in the way of a clear rear view and that was annoying. When Ford reprised the Bullitt Mustang I had a college kid come into my shop asking for a windshield banner that said "BULLITT" and he spelled it out for me to be sure I got it right. I said "Yeah, like the movie" and he responded with a deer in the headlights stare. I tried to help by adding "You know the movie with Steve McQueen?" Same look and then he asked who Steve McQueen was.
If you like the banner, keep the banner. It's your car.
