Default C5 VS C6 Question

I've owned a C5 and a C6. For those that had a C5 do you find it harder to get into your C6 then the C5. i know iv'e put on a few pounds but that's not it. Seems to me the head clearance getting in is lower then on the C5. Just wondering......

Funny you should mention this. I was thinking the same thing; it seems the C5 we used to own was easier to get in and out of than our C6. I've also put on some weight, but I think that I'm just getting old may have something to do with it. I'm with you on the head clearance - - it seems a bit tighter with the C6.

Thinking back, C6 might have a lower profile than the C5. I am 6'2", 230lbs, and getting old...so yes, it is harder to get in/out...but I think it is me

I think the little hump in the door frame gave me something to push on getting in and out of the C5...

No, but there was a noticeable difference from the C6 to the C7's that I've sat in.

As for headroom, I had to remove two of the "trampoline" springs under the seat in our C5 to keep from rubbing my head on the transparent top, but on our C6 I have at least an inch to spare just by adjusting the seat.
You need to be careful not to adjust the C6 seat too low, the cushion will be just about touching the floor and every bump will have the cushion bottoming and beat up your back.

Passenger in our C6 has less legroom than in the C5.

I still think the c6 is a little harder to get into and out of. jmo. i think the a pillar and the slope of the windshield are the reasons why.

They are the same to me. But if you guys are think the C5/C6 is hard to get in or cramp, try the C7. The cabin is smaller than both!

Exactly. That "hump" is what I miss on my C6.

I have had C4,C5, and now a C6 and drove C7.
Worst was the bath tub C4, then the C7, the 5 and 6 are about the same for me 6'1 250, like others I do miss the hump on the door frame!

C-6 does not have view of road in front of you like a C-5 does.

I don't know what you're referring to when saying it has less headroom. Maybe it's just me, but I have plenty of head room, and I'm 6'3". Here's a pic showing how much head room I have:

The hump gives a place to support yourself as you are exiting. I miss it on my C6. When I am in the garage, and I can't swing the door wide open, I have GREAT difficulty getting out.

C5 had the keeper for the door latch on the jam I always rested the palm of my left hand for leverage to get out
The C6 does not have this keeper
