I live in the country and it is hard to go anywhere in the afternoons without collecting bugs on the front and mirrors. I am looking for something that will remove the bugs with the least amount of wear/rubbing on the paint. Sprayway seems to work if I let it sit and soak but sometimes it dries before soaking the bugs for easy removal. What do dealers/detailers use? All suggestions welcome. I'm trying to save the paint. Thanks....
I use turtle was ice spray detailer, I have found it works darn good on bug removal and very little effort, I took the car on a few hundred mile road trip, windshield was covered in bug goo and a pain the clean, the front of the car wiped off with very little effort
FWIW my car is an outside car, so I tend to wash and wax it a good bit and then use the detailer between waxes and it works great
Go to a RV store and buy a jug of VOOM cleaner. It's in concentrated for and can be cut to 20:1. It is non-toxic & bio-degradable. A 50:50 will more than enough to get the worst bugs off. You may want to pit a fresh cost a wax on aftet cleaning. Once you have the bugs off go get a bottle of Protect All and use it to clean the area in between heavy cleaning. Most bugs with now just come off when you wash tje car.
I have used "Rejex" as my sealant since 2003 on my C5. It is what I use on my 2013 C6. Bugs on the car come off with a simple spray of detailing spray and wipe with a clean dry towel. Bird poop comes off just as quickly and it does not hurt the clear coat.
Thanks for all the replies. You never know if someone has discovered that "magic cleaner" that works wonders. I think I will try the Voom cleaner and follow up with Honda Glaze wax.

I travel the intestate constantly and pick up a lot of bugs as well. Here's what's worked for me for years:
1) I keep a good coat of wax on my vehicles and use a spray detailer after every wash.
2) Prior to actually washing the car, I soak/spray the front bumper and windshield down for a minute or so; depending on how bad the bugs are, I may repeat this a couple of times.
3) As I wash the vehicle, I rinse the whole car down as I do each section, insuring I hit the bumper & windshield.
By the time I get to the bumper and windshield, the bugs come off with very little effort. I have never had to use any type of special bug remover.
Spray water on bugs. Let sit, spray more water on bugs. Then spray more water. Then use car washing liquid with a microfiber towel and wash. You are not going to hurt the paint. Its protected by clear coat. When finished washing and rinsing, apply wax of your choice. In between waxes for minor cleanup, spray with detailing spray. You can also spray bugs with detailing spray, let it sit a few minutes, then wash bugs off.
A clothes dryer fabric softener sheet moistened with detail spray works very well to remove the bugs and will not damage the paint. The detail spray will provide a slick surface and help prevent bugs from sticking on your next drive.
For really dried, stuck bugs, rub on some Goop or GoJo, and lt it soak a few minutes. Then just wipe off w/ a soft cloth. It works on tar and road grime too.

I would stay away from that Voom; it's not designed to be used on clear coated paint surfaces, but instead on the cheap paint or colored panels that are on today's RV's. It's most likely a little too caustic for our use.
