LS3 all the way. No brainer. I had a 2005 LS2 and upgrade to 2008 LS3. BIG difference! If you find one with the npp (HIGHLY recommended) it is 36 more horses. It does make a difference and you will feel it for sure. Then there are a lot of upgrades when you go 2008 (LS3) and up from the 2005-2007 LS2. Nicer interior, a lot better steering wheel, better steering, the npp and a better transmission to name some. My 2008 has the Z51 performance package which adds a bunch of very desirable upgrades. Just need to be patient and shop around good. There are good deals in this forum, Craiglist and Ebay. There are great deals out there, you just need to find the right car at the right price.
