I installed an amp and new speakers to my C6 convertible with a new battery and battery cables. I drove it around a few miles to hear my new sound and returned home and while pulling in my garage the car completely shut down. Luckily I was halfway in my garage when it died and had to push it the rest of the way. So, not that this is surprising but I have no clue what happened. Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp, please!
Any alerts, warnings, or indicators on the DIC? What was the car doing when it died? More info please.
I was pulling in the garage after a test run. There was not one indication what was happening, I had to put it in park to stop it from rolling back down the driveway. Nothing and I mean nothing showed up!!

If the car went black then you have an electrical issue. DUH!!! And you just installed a new amp. DUH!!! If it was just a battery or battery cable issue the car would still run with warnings. I'd say you not only have a battery issue but have also blown the alternator but that is just a guess knowing only that there is suddenly no power at all in the car where the engine was running.

Did the car "go dark" or is the battery completely dead? If the batt was completely dead how did you get it out of park?
Isolate the battery, charge it, and test it. Check alt output. Proceed from there.
More than likely you will need to undo what you did (amp and speakers)and start anew. My guess is a dead short.
Agree with other's; you either fried your alternator or a cable. I'd start by checking battery cables and cables/wires running to/from the alternator. If they look good, I'd take the alternator out and down to my local auto parts store and have it tested.

I agree with what you say, but...I would check battery cable connections at the battery when isolating the battery as they were (probably) the only connections disturbed.
Once a good battery and alt are confirmed he can either put everything back together and (potentially) fry everything or undo what he did and start anew.
Could be something as simple as the clamp cone nuts were not reinstalled/improperly reinstalled.
