My assumption is you commented without reading the rest of the thread which included details of my car. Power wasn't far off from a stock Z, and weight wasn't too far off either.

So even a new GT isn't nearly 1000 pounds more.
It's 3660lbs wet, according to Ford.

For the doubters to what I posted about the Mustang GT weight go to 8:25 of this video, real world figures as it sits on the road Plus what the car ran at the drags, pretty impressive.

I was thinking that was pretty normal. Is it not?

I would suppose it's going to spin anytime you drop your clutch at high RPM.

I have a standard C6 coupe with the A6 transmission.

No spinning at all.

At a complete stop, if I punch the accelerator the car is jettisoned forward.
Feels very fast...with a sensation almost like a hand on my chest pushing me back into the seat.

-Ward

Having the traction on my tires will spin easy, but not for long because it goes into limp mode for a couple of seconds. So it's working as designed.

I didn't say anything about dropping the clutch haha. I'm talking a rolling 50 spin.

Yep....Thats the way mine is. All my drag experience is from "back in the day", so I don't have much experience in any other of the newer breed of cars these days, but this C-6 just seems to bolt off the line.....
