Default replacement head light lens internal scratching?

Gents,
I bought these replacement lens on flea bay of course also bought the protect plan so im waiting to hear back from them, but thought I would ask has anyone see this happen to their lenses. Its doesn't seem to be on the outside more on the inside, just looking for some insight if anyone has ever dealt with this kind of issue.

Thanks

Hmm.. cant be sure but it almost appears like the adhesive they used to rebond the lens deposited as it cured... Or, it could be a very bad batch of lenses? idk.

Wow, that looks like complete crap. I'd be pissed.

This is a good example of why you should go with a trusted source for some things instead of going the budget route, and is why I'm going with RL Sebring for my lenses.

^^^ It could be. I'm not sure what the other's who posted mean when they say "deposited as it cured." Maybe that means it becomes airborne and/or gets splattered onto other areas?

For micro-cracks, yes. Usually occurs starting at outside edges, though.
This looks like a manufacturing defect, WTH c/would cause it is anyone's guess.
I've seen where high humidity caused excess condensation w/ blow molding machines which left water marks in plastic.
Water marks?
One thing's for certain, it's totally unacceptable.

The time wasted in un/installing only to have to do it again is a bite in the ****. Have to agree w/ above member re who one does their parts business w/ for this reason, alone.

G/L OP, glad you've some kind of protection.

How long did it take to get to this condition or was it sudden?

a lot of lenses on ebay that are not brand new have had the clear front lens removed and replaced, which make it look "brand new" so that it will sell. I doubt its crazing since the lenses dont look even slightly sun damaged. To replace the front clear lens, it has to be baked apart, old adhesive removed, then reinstalled. If the installer used an adhesive that was wrong or sealed up the lens too quickly (not allowing the adhesive to cure out), then it can -possibly - deposit the chemical that is released as the adhesive is cured. Still, that is a TON of deposits on that lens...

ok, well 1 out 2 aint bad in this case. I had it done professionally by a body shop so that could be the issue as well. But this was done in June i barely noticed it a a week or two ago. Kinda blew it off then got real concerned cause it wasn't on the surface. Oh well lesson learned. I really appreciate the feedback although my wallet wont.. lol.. thanks again

There are several reasons that would happen.
Only a couple of them are usually your fault (too high heat, reheating for too long).

Usually issues like this arise from an improper injection molding or could be a fluke.

If you will consider redoing it with our lenses, you'll be happier with the results, over 2000 in about 1 year sold and nary an issue
