Not even sure the towing part is fine and easy. You got the tranny over-heat issues....then the stopping with more weight issues....then the weight transfer issue.....then the clearance issue.....just to name a few.

My owners manual says nothing about headers or a tune, but it DOES say specifically Not to tow anything...this is a SAFETY issue my friend, not a performance gain issue

Your car. Tow whatever you like. This is still America. Grumpy forum members cannot force you to do anything you don't want to do or stop you from doing something they don't agree with. But you did ask and they can are free to provide their opinions.

Getting up the ramp or stopping. Plus it was a 4 speed!

When I bought my 78 Corvette in 1991 it had (still has) a Reese hitch. The guy I bought it from was a fabricator and made a trailer that looked like the back end of the car. He and his girlfriend had Harleys and would take trips on the weekends.

Unfortunately, he had sold the trailer by the time I bought the car. But he showed me pictures of the trailer. It was pretty cool.

While this is wrong on so many levels, and reminds me of a mullet (all business in the front and a party in the back), he does end up with four hot women in bikinis by the end of the video, so I can't really fault him much.

I dunno...don't think i'd ever consider buying a vette that was ever used for towing, even it was just towing small loads of Styrofoam.......

Ok ok, enough already. I’m going to use my Rav 4. Thanks to all the people that gave considerate replys, and to those trolls, I say get a life.

When I was a teenager , a friends father pulled a boat with his 1969, 427 - 400 / 4 speed, corvette as his wife would not let him put a hitch on the station wagon. IT looked funny to see the car pulling the boat, but he never had issues.
