Problem with a overdrive HB, it is going to over drive the Alternator as well, and the OEM alternator do not like to be over driven. When this happens, the OEM valeo alternator end up breaking its armature winding cages, with take the alternator at as well (can not be rebuilt to save it),

So if you are maxed out on the smallest pulley you can run on the S/C and still need to spin it faster, then its a option, but plan on having to replace the alternator with something that likes to be over spun/or look for an under drive pulley for the stock alternator isntead.

I asked Andy at A&A, and he said that only the A&A IW hub is compatible with the A&A kit, not the ATI hub. Can't decide if I want the 8 or 10 rib or the seondary/flip drive. I want to buy once, cry once.
that depends on your drive system.I run ATI 8 rib hb on my A&A set up

I use the Vette as a cruiser not a race car.
Thank You
I'm having my 2000 C5 HB replaced today. I asked about the brand they're using and they said they don't use the GM part, but only said I need an ATI if I'm going to soup the engine up. I have no intention of that. They replace with the Dorman with good luck.

I would stick with the GM since you got 12 years out of the first one

So for a wet-sump LS3, which 8-rib ATI balancer do I get? I looked at a couple places, but the ones they had were for the LS7. Still can't decide if I should do the A&A secondary drive or not, which would require A&A's Innovators West crank hub.

If you decide on the ATI 8 rib call ATI tech line at 410 298 4343 for the correct balancer p/n for your application.the newer A&A billet tensioner would be a good way to go as you can change the belt in 10 minutes versus removing supercharger to change belt

I just ordered an ATI #917246 (same diameter as stock). I tried to get an ARP balancer bolt, but they are backordered nationwide so I bought a bolt from ATI that is also made from chromalloy as the ARP bolt is.
Thanks to all of you for your input, I appreciate it !

I bought this bolt to go with the Power Bond SS HB. Is the washer in the package the one that goes between the HB and the engine block?
