I would like to order a Tech II. I was looking to get a clone. Would anyone have a recommendation for a site to buy from? Also which bundle/kit should I purchase, as I see many listed on some of the sites. Would anyone have an official Tech II for sale? Thanks,
Here is the cable that you will need to connect it your computer on a USB port to use TIS200o with it ( if the laptop you using does not have a RS232 port)
Also note that the drivers are linked on this page, so you build a VM machine on XP/or laptop running XP, then download and install the needed XP version driver into the XP shell. https://www.automationdirect.com/adc...68ED1FDD859281
It not going to come with case, but Harbor freight hard cases work very well.
One last thing, and the DC to DC converters are know to go out on the clones after a while, but easy to replace.
To add, Tech II clone or VX GM nano, I find my self using the Nano more often instead.
It works just like a Tech II running Tech2win on a laptop, works with TIS2000, as well TDS SPS and GDS2 for newer cars, since the VX GM nano is a clone of the newer MDI units that GM is using now.

Thanks for all the info and providing both options (Tech II clone and Nano). After reading your linked post on the Nano, I think I'll go with the clone. Even though the Nano might be cheaper there are a number hoops to jump through.
I remember reading some post on purchasing the clone and the recommendation was to use a prepaid credit card for the purchase. Do think think this is necessary with aliexpress.com?

Thanks again!
Another option is to email the seller, some accept Paypal. You will want to ensure you money / credit card numbers are safe in all transactions.
I went out to the Aliexpress web site and noticed that there are several Tech II clone options for purchase. Is there one particular option that is recommended? I am interested in the right device for my C6.

Clone Tech 2's are made by the same company, just different sellers, so watch what come with it (Tis200 disc or not) and if shipping is including in the price or not.
Also, make sure to order the one for GM-holden north america.
Hence the one linked below comes with the Tis 2000 disco, and shipping is included in the price for $283, but no carry case. There are some that don't come with the TIS2000 discs for a little less expensive to start with, but end up just as expensive or more as the one linked when you add in the shipping costs not included in the price, or come with the TIS2000 disc.

The better quality version is supposed to be the SP23-B or B3 versions. Accordingly, they will cost more. Here is something from one of the sites that details the differences.

Many of us buy from www.obd2eshop.com, working and lower price. Hope this helps.

Hi Dano, You stated to order the GM-Holden. On the Aliexpress site there is an option for GM and American-Holden. Am I correct, that the American-Holden is the correct option? I would like to order this today, so I want to ensure I'm selecting the correct options. Thanks.
For GM option is the one you want.
Scroll down to the list on the middle of the page in blue, and you need the card that has GM english that will have GM 33.004 for the C6 vet on that card.
The card/option for American Holden that will come with a Holden card versions V149 and V147 that would be for the these type of Holden cars instead,
If for some reason you need one of the other card for a different car make, you can order that card separately to swap out in the Tech II to use on those cars.
