You cannot use the quickjack anywhere but the outside points. Once it is up in the air, then it can set on the safety latch just like if you were using jackstands. Not only is no quick jack long enough to lift from the "other points" it would be horrible unsafe to lift them with the jacks side by side basically touching. Lift it off the frame like shown.
I cannot think of any sane reason not to use the original jacking points with your 5000. The smaller rubber blocks that came with my 5000 work perfectly in Red's jacking points, and it's a narrow body. At full lift height (about 22 inches) with safety bars engaged & latched, I can access anything and everything I need on a creeper.
Which QJ rubber blocks fit best with standard sized pucks installed? Tall or short? Have a QJ 7000, just don’t quite have the Vette yet (supposed to be built this week).

I use the short ones. I have to drive the front up on a board to make room for it. My 08 narrow body was no problem but the 12 GS is a bit lower in the front. I have the leave in pucks that are pretty short.

Thanks. I’m getting the Stingray. And I was planning on parking over them. Sounds like it could be close. Looking at the ground clearance and height of the QJ, it works on paper. David
I have heard a few guys parking over the Quick Jack. Seems kind of close to me, plus I use my garage too much to leave them in the floor. I saw this on their website and copied it.

^^^ Nice. I need to try that. Storing the jacks in my relatively small garage (2 car...by 1955 standards) is the only drawback to them. Doing it that way would let me not have to pick the end up off the ground when I wheel them out too.

Ok, I should check their website out a little better, because that is a really good idea! I love my QJ, wish I would have purchased mine sooner. With the adapters, I can lift my minivan, my SUV and the Vette.
