so gentlemen what is a good back up camera that won't break the bank? I've looked online and watched various YouTube videos but everybody says that theirs id the Best? I'd rather see what fellow Corvette owners are using.
You'll get a lot more replies, for me I went from one of the very inexpensive 9.99 ebay cameras to an Alpine for 29.99. With the super-cheapos the wire gauge is too small to reliably provide enough power from the reverse lights, & the Alpine is adjustable so you point it where you decide the best angle is. Also suggest soldering the reverse light wire connection... voice of experience, as this is one of those things that I did a second time.

I did solder the connection inside the rear bumper connection. I bought one that looks like this but if I use it to back into a space I will definitely hit something as it is way out of calibration with the car and I see no way of making any adjustment from side ti side. I can flip it up and down to get distance , kinda.

I tried 3 different cameras before settling on this one. It has guide lines, but hey can be defeated by cutting a wire if your head unit provides configurable guide lines. I will be cutting mine this weekend when I install a new head unit (Kenwood DNS574S) which has the configurable guide lines (as in you can drag the lines width and depth to match the actual width of the car and distance to an object behind.
I bought a $20 pyle camera that works as front or rear (cutting a wire switches orientation). Note, its not the license plate bracket one. camera works awesome, connected to my avh 2330.
I bought a cheapo on eBay for the back and a cheapo from Amazon for the front. Both work great. The one from amazon lets you flip the image and get rid of the park lines if your HU already has them.
The lines on my HU either suck or I don't know how to use them, my guess is they suck, I can turn them off and did because If I try to back into my garage I will rip out the wall.
I really need one that is adjustable and has adjustable lines so I can actually park rather than just see what is behind me. I see that some have night vision is that something that I really need?
