Mine loves to ride in the vette, but has no interest in driving it.

My wife doesn't have any interest in driving it. She's never even driven it around the block. I've tried to get her to drive it, but she won't.

I don't "let" my wife do anything. She does whatever she wants. She drives our 10 Grand Sport Vert M6 all the time. She also drives the 18 Ford F250 Diesel all the time. She is a great driver.

I'd let her if she asks. She bought a manual car of her own to learn on.

I have. If not for her involvement in monthly household bills and vette improvement projects I would not be able to own such a car. I say thank you.

Relax.... you read into my post in the wrong direction. At least for me..... others have their opinions. I was just interested in hearing everyone words.

Actually I was pleasantly supersized at all the unity between husband and wife with there Vette toys..... Very cool everyone!

I never understood the whole thing where people buy a mass produced car and go to crazy lengths to protect it. Not eating in it, never driving it in the rain, etc. Its all crazyness to me. If you spill something, clean it. If you wreck it, by a new panel, paint it, and get back on the road. It isnt going to be a collectible, and even if it was, you'd probably be better off just investing the money at 6% instead of trying to keep a mass produced car pristine. Its more worth it to actually have some fun, in my opinion.
Why does it have to be one or the other? Why not both? I took my 08 vert on a 4000 mile trip to Cali and back, cleaned it up after I got back, and ended up winning trophies in 7 car shows that same spring. I've never understood people who have to see in black and white, and end up missing all the grey in the middle that makes things interesting.

Based on some of the answers towards wifes it is pretty obvious who is light on grey matter where it counts!

Mine can drive mine but prefers not to. I’d let her because she bought it for me 😄

Your rather baited question would suggest otherwise.

Mine can drive mine whenever she wants. She has already expressed interest in driving it to work on nice days. Because I am not an azzhat, I have exactly zero reason to prohibit my wife from driving any car (or motorcycle for that matter) I own. The more interest she has in my motorized toys, them more likely I am to continue to have her support in buying them.

Yes, I let her take the boat out by herself too. Its 2019, not 1946. I'm far more likely to do something stupid with it anyhow.

Nah, I really don't think I did. Your post says volumes about what kind of a "man" you are.

Yes you did take me wrong... my wife is very excited to drive my car since she does know how to drive manual and she never wanted to drive my other cars because of the power scared her.

I guess I did leave it open ended..... but never meant to offend anyone by doing it.

She can drive it anytime she wants, but is rarely interested. A couple times a year maybe.

I let my wife drive mine once while I was in it just in case she "had" to drive it home. Mine is a stick, but she drives stick shifts really well, but she thinks it is really hard to put in each gear.. Her commuter car is a stick. She doesn't want to drive it because she doesn't want to hear my mouth if something happened to it.
