Waaaay, too many posts to read them all, but a question for the OP, and others: You are in the second spot from the end. Why? You either got there after him (unlikely), or you did not take the reasonable spot, which is last spot in the row, tight to the curb. Backing in, it is very easy to get right next to the curb without rubbing the wheels, and you have a lot of room left away from any other car.
Yeah, I get it. For some of you, if someone just parks next to your car, you're going to key the criminal's vehicle. Whatever....

You have a Corvette and still asked that question? Have you ever opened your door next to a high curb and couldn't figure out why the door wouldn't open? Have you ever parked with a curb right at your door sill and then tried to get out of the car, even if you lucked out with a low curb and you could actually open the door? I don't park my Corvette where there is a curb next to the drivers side door, but I do when parking my truck. Then I have to climb thru all kinds of shrubbery to get to the asphalt.

Yes, I do have a Corvette. I park it directly next to curbs every single day. Maybe where you live, they are higher, or where I live they are lower. Or maybe you have a lowered Vette, I have NEVER scraped my door against a curb. I would not have made that comment if I had.
I think the high curb (or low door) thing might bite us all in the butt once in the beginning of Corvette ownership. Happened to me many---many years ago....ONCE. Then I learned to eye up any curbs when parking just to be safe. This does bring up the one time that I was in my DD at the time and opened the door and it actually got caught on the freaking curb so I couldn't close to door or open it any further....$%&#$@ !!! Finally had to have the GF at the time come over and get the door off the curb while I was pushing up on the roof of the car....... ......

Now...that is a lesson you never forget!! Great story, though.
I imagine if I had a GS, I would have to avoid parking next to most curbs.

Yea, have noticed high curbs, but were never high enough for my door to scrape it.
Went to the W with weekend after a show. Parked way out and snapped a pic just because. Yep, when I cam out a newer Lincoln old guy car was parked next to me

I only see two red cars where it looks like the drivers don't know how to park. ....................
Don’t back into parking spots, you look like a douche and attract other douches.
Why didnt OP take the last spot?
i don’t need to watch that video to know it’s fake AF.
If you ever key a car for any reason, you’re a ****.
I wouldn’t take any vehicle I care about to a place that has parking spots as narrow as the ones in the last pic.
I don,t agree with ever keying any vehicle for any reason. But. When ever I can and it is safe to do so I always back in, whether in my vett or my daily driver. It is actually a defensive driving method. when preparing to park and backing in you are more aware of your surroundings and are less likely to back in to someone or back out in front of another vehicle passing by when backing out. jmo
