I go out of my way to park properly to respect my car and other vehicles around me. I expect the same in return. Most of the time that happens.
Couple weeks ago, I was parking my C6 at work and before I even got out of my car, a lady parked her crossover off my passenger side and opened her door into the my car. I get out walk around and see her door on my car. "You hit my car"...… she states she didn't while we are looking at her door on my car.
she really didn't mean to hit my car, but she was not paying attention and did not properly park in the first place, being to close to my car. Stuff like that pisses me off.
It looks like neither the Corvette or the Jeep were parked in a normal parking space. But the Jeep owner was a wise ***, and got what she/he disserved. The idiot filming the video wouldn't be laughing if it were her Jeep! I thought it was staged, like a lot of internet videos until he punctured the Jeep's sidewall!

Even if they don't do any damage to your car ??.......
It's called being considerate of others!
Believe me, if you couldn't open your door to get into your car, and there were a million other parking spaces available, you'd be pissed too!

I don't think the pic in the org. post has the cars that close so you're suggesting that you also would key someones car just because they parked next to you but they didn't do any damage to your car ?.......once again......and double...
So let me see, you parked way out away from normal parking in the second spot, leaving both side of your Vette exposed to possible damage. You backed in and then along a truck and also backs in in the first spot. First off I would say the driver of the truck has a lot of pride in his ride and though gee look, I have a spot with a Corvette protecting right side. Next with the driver backing in most likely he was the only one in the truck, so no harm no foul. Was you car damaged? If not what are you bitching about. Life is short there are a lot more issue in life to worry about. As stated free country people can park were ever they like.
Just be prepared, For every dumb *** or smart *** action, there is an equal opposite smart *** or dumb *** reaction. If you want to **** with people be prepared to pay for it. I have no patience for that kind of **** from someone that thinks they're cute. That video with the Jeep was staged, but I'm sure this action and reaction has happened many times. It's obvious in the OP's situation that the driver of that truck went out of his way to ***** with him. It's a free country and you can do smart *** things, but be prepared for the reaction.

I'm sorry! I didn't specify.
I thought you were making reference to the video. I agree about the photo, I've had that happen to me numerous times in my other vehicles. I don't park my Corvette in public parking lots unattended.
I have no problem keying a car, parked next to me like that, and it doesn't have to be my Vette either. When someone wants to park next to me like a "smartass" I'll give them something to talk about!!
Well that’s a good way to get hurt bro. Damaging other peoples property because they parked next to you? It’s a dick move to seek out a car parked far away by itself but “keying” or slashing tires damaging peoples property just makes you a shitty human. Congrats man!
How about this? What if a way nicer/faster/better at everything than your vette....vette, parked right next to you like this? Still gonna key it? If so and I’m anywhere near you I’ll definitely give you the opportunity, just let me know where you plan on parking one day....will test this theory out? My guess would be you sheepishly crawl into your vette and drive away. Real easy to be a “forum gangster” and talk all this BS.....about what you would do.....until an actual “gangster” puts you on the spot in real life.....try to be a better human bro, do us all a favor.🇺🇸
I've posted pics about this many times, and even if they are in their spot between the lines, is there any reason to park next to someone so they can't even get in their car if there are other spots?
I actually tracked this guy down in the shopping center and asked him to move it. He had the audacity to ask me why. He was with his wife, and when I asked how she got out, he said he let her out before he backed in. Freaking amazing.

Did you ask why he parked next to you? We can speculate but a definite reason would be nice.

He never said why he chose that spot, he just kept repeating that he was parked properly, which I thought was funny, because I never claimed he wasn't, but he did make comments to the effect that I should have just gotten in the other side instead of tracking him down.
When I first bought mine I stopped at Wally world for a quick stop before heading home. When I got back to my car the driver side rear quarter was cracked and the rear bumper cover was creased and unfixable. The damage was quite a surprise and the crack was very deep. I hadn't driven the car more than a half mile from the dealer to the store. There was no car near me when I parked or when I returned. I went back in to the store to ask if they had a camera in the parking lot and they just gave me a blank stare. Needless to say I was pretty pissed. I ordered some RPI painted Z06 rear quarters and a new rear bumper cover had the dealer paint it and installed all of them myself. I watch where I park whenever public parking is involved. I wouldn't key or stab a tire, but I might take a little of an *******'s hide if they were around but only because of damage. Parking too close I may make a comment let it go.
Stupid is all around us and there is nothing we can do about it. Some of them here even asked why did you back in or why did you leave a space? WTF.
Are you referring to me? Since you're so much smarter than I am, why don't you explain why I'm so stupid? The way I see it, is when you pull forward into a space, It's very hard to judge how close the nose of the car is to the concrete stop barrier. You take a chance of either getting the splitter, or under the bumper. That's why people install cameras on their Vettes! I find it easier to back into the space.I very rarely park in a public parking lot without either myself sitting in the car or my wife!
