To me the C6 represents a sweet spot of performance to dollars with a flattening depreciation curve. Don't think the C8 will affect prices much other than normal per year depreciation. I just bought my first Corvette, a C6, a couple months ago and originally thought I'd try it out before spending twice as much on a C7. Two months in and I'm loving this car -2008 Z51 3LT 6M. Thoughts of a C7 have gone out the window.
There are Corvette owners that only drive their cars a few times a year. They don’t need to drive them, they just need their car to sit in the garage and know they own a trophy car. There will be some real cherry low mileage high optioned C6’s hitting the market as these garage queen owners sell their C6’s and C7’s to buy a C8.

Theres a flaw in your logic here. If they were going to sell their flawless c6 for a c8... why didn't they do it for a c7? The c8 is likely going to make the c7 seem loved by all when revealed, and it was polarizing to say the least.
I think you guys are really being insane expecting any change in prices of c6s from a car playing at a price point 2-4x what a CLEAN c6 goes for.
Heres another factor... the new base 992 porsche OBLITERATES the 996 in every way. It's as fast as the 996 turbo was. Yet people continue to buy 996 turbos for more than new base 911s. By your estimation the 996 is already 3 generations old, no ody should want one and they should be valueless. Not saying I don't agree that 996s are WAY overvalued, but yall are either getting your panties twisted or getting your hopes up for a situation that just isnt gonna happen.
