I just tried that and it loaded then rebooted. Date is still March 2003
Try it again, and make sure that you select the time button a few times. It took a few hits on the time before it switched to correct date. Also, make sure your car is running and outside when you do the update.

Thanks. I tried running it again but nothing happened. After I put the map DVD back in I hit the time button and it changed to 2022 while I was looking at it.
I know this is an old thread. But I just got my C6 a couple weeks ago and stumbled across this thread. Unless I'm doing something stupid, the original links to the info do not work. I was wondering if there was any updated info, or if anyone still had a disc they would part with for this fix.
You need to unzip and burn the .KWI file to a CD-R then insert in the Map DVD slot. Follow the directions.
Thank you for that. I've got the file unzipped and we have a CD burner in one of the oldest computers at work. Now I just have to get my hands on a CD to burn to and hopefully I'll be good to go. Again, thanks for the help, it's much appreciated.

Well, I just tried the update. It seemed to do everything it was supposed to do. The progress bar did it's thing. Then the Corvette emblem came back up so I took out the disc and put the NAV DVD back in. But when I went to set the clock it still wouldn't set. I got out of the clock setting screen and went back in several times but still no go. Any ideas?

It’s been quite a while since I did this, but I believe you can either set the time manually once the fix had been applied, or set it up to use the GPS signal to supply the time. In the latter case, your time zone and DST settings must be correct for your location.
It’s all explained in the user manual which I’ve attached. Keep in mind that you need to have the car outside in order to get a GPS signal.

I tried your way too. None of the buttons do anything. I was parked in the driveway, mostly sunny day, maybe a few clouds in the sky but not much. I'm not sure what else to try...
You could try pulling the fuse for the nav unit and then reinstall it after a couple of minutes. Maybe a reboot will bring it to its senses. If that doesn’t work, you could try reinstalling the fix that you applied.

Thank you for that. I had not considered a re-boot. I did try running the disc again but it did nothing after I put it back in the slot. Perhaps if I pull the fuse like you suggested, then try reinstalling the repair disc it will go through the repair motions again. Definitely worth a try.
Disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes with the fix-it dick in it before you disconnect the battery then hook battery back-up and see if it will recognize the disk. Mine went out meaning clock when I pulled the battery for the winter and six months later no clock.

Maybe I'm a little slow. I'm not quite following the sequence you're suggesting. Are you saying to run the fix-it disc, then disconnect the battery? Then re-connect the battery and eject the disc? Or something else?
No I did not say it right. Before you disconnect the battery have the fix-it dick already in the cd slot and then unhook-up the battery then hook-up the battery again after 5minutes and make sure your outdoors when you do it. I have aluminum insulation on my roof on the inside and did not work the first time then read the disk instruction that came with the car and it said it should be clear to have the satellite communicate with your car. Don't ask me where but I did read it. Worth a try.

Got it, thanks for the clarification. And like you, I read it many places including here, about being outside when I do it.
