I tried it several times, it didn't work, it didn't download anything from the disc, clock works now but the date is still Feb 2001.
It only showed on the NAV screen, "The disc installed is not a MAP DVD".

Let me know if anyone has an available downloadable working disc, and I will PM you my address, yes, I will kindly pay for any shipping cost and for the disc, thank you.
My 05's clock started back up working on its own. ???
Many owners have reported that the clock display returned on its own, but I believe that if you check the date, it will be 20 years off. If you disconnect the battery, you may lose the clock again. Why not just download and apply the firmware fix and be done with it? The date and time will be correct, and it's permanent so you won't need to worry about disconnecting the battery.
Most folks will probably be burning a CD-R disk using Windows, but anyone who prefers to use Linux -- and Fedora Linux in particular -- to burn the downloaded 245_135A.iso file to a blank disk should use the "Brasero" application. Click on Project > New Project > Burn Image... :
Select a disk image to write to:
/home/username/Downloads/245_135A.iso
Select a disk to write to:
Blank CD-R Disk: 724.1 MB of free space
I’ve been fighting this thing all day and would be happy to pay far a CD. If you can send me one I would really appreciate it.

I know this thread is old. Just did this update. Couldn’t find a CD-R. Worked just fine as an extracted file burnt on DVD-R. Thanks to everyone who made this happen.
