With the finicky headlight lenses, what's the most practical /harmless way to get bugs off? Just bug remover and a microfiber? My 2010 headlights look like new. Nothing on the subject in "cleaning/ detail" pages.

I can tell you from experience, that your headlight lenses won't look new for long in Florida! When I bought my 08 garage queen 2 years ago, it looked like it just came off the showroom floor with only a little over 17K miles. If you use the car regularly and leave it parked in the sun, the UV rays are going to discolor the lenses, and the plastic seems to develop very small hairline cracks. It's a common problem with the C6 lenses, and can't be helped. As far as cleaning, I just let water soak them for a while, and wipe them off with a soft towel.

A mix of water & white vinegar (1 qt water to 1/2 cup vinegar) plus a teaspoon or so of dish detergent works fine.
I use a Meguiar's Gold Class Premium Quick Detailer on the lenses and also the front bumper to get rid of bugs. I just spray, let it soak in for a bit, then wipe with a microfibre cloth.
We do plenty of road trips (80K miles and counting with the C6), and you can just imagine at the end of a 300 mile driving day, how many bugs would be on the front end.
After dinner, at the finish of each day of driving, I try to find a selve serve car wash to get rid of the bugs, and or I'll use the quick detailer to clean up the front, and of course the outside mirrors, as they are full of bugs as well.

Get them ceramic coated. Mine wipe off easily and we have a lot of bugs here in southern Indian during the summer and spring.

I've never had an issue with turtle wax... There was also a spray can foaming cleaner/remover i bought from a vendor at a gas station once, best i've ever used... sounds sketchy but it truly was. I CANNOT for the life of me remember the name though. All i remember is that the can had a Nascar car on it, maybe someone else is familiar with it. Good luck though!
And when I get a surplus of bugs, road grime ,,,and even road tar on the lower body panels,,,, I use a light coating of WD-40 with a microfiber cloth, using little
pressure to remove bugs and tar
I'm sure other products work, but this is what I use. Carry a bottle on road trips too, Spray on, let marinate for 15 minutes or so, then wipe off with a microfiber cloth.
