Default Window problem

Hello, I have a 2008 corvette base and I am having a problem with my windows, my drivers side window will open and close but the passenger side window won’t go down or up and the door won’t open from the inside or the outside but the door does un latch with the lever inside but since the window won’t move the door can’t clear and open all the way, I tried disconnecting the battery and nothing worked, I was wondering if anyone has some idea of what’s happening.

. Index both windows. Instructions in the Manual.

Check the wiring inside of the door. With two things dead it sounds like a power issue.

Door won’t open (electric). Window won’t go up or down (electric). Hmmm.

Resetting the window indexing

With the engine running and the window down, close the car door. Raise the window and hold the up switch an extra 3 seconds. Release. Without lowering the window, hold the up switch again for 3 seconds. Release. Done. Don't forget the other window.
This will need to be done to both windows every time the car battery is disconnected, then reconnected, or when a new battery is installed in the car.

Always a sign of a weak or mal fu ctioning battery....or electrical gremlins of some kind. Fixing is simple finding the cause is a little bit harder

If you've done it at least 50 times, you may have a problem.

The first paragraph of my post was just a quote of information in the owner's manual.

Weak battery...read on...

Just happened to me a month ago...Window wouldnt get away from itself...so I re-indexed windows...fixed the issue... ha.
...then 10 minutes later, 2 miles away from home, in town...the car wouldnt start...it cranked about 5 seconds and the engine sounded like the end of the world , including the dash lighting up like Christmas...while I kept telling myself...it's the battery, it's the battery.

Think...think...Ahhh...Maybe NAPA would deliver the battery. My local NAPA manager...who always calls me by name for years.....actually came to me and delivered the new battery .

Then the car started up smooth as silk, but the voltmeter wouldnt move...oh no...no...oh well...I can change out the alternator...but then I realized I was looking at the gas gauge...phew!

The next day, I removed the battery connectors and sanded them....dont forget that!
