Default Door light

Has anyone ever installed a light behind the red marker lens on the drivers side door or is there power to do so. It looks like I can feed off of the utility light under the dash but don’t know how to get it to the door.

Thanks,

This sounds like a nice mod idea. I also wonder if anyone has done it, and how involved it was to do.

I have done this on my C6 and C5. Just tap power at the courtesy light in the foot well and run the wire through the door accordan following the factory wiring.
I have a custom 4 LED array installed in mine. It make a big difference on a dark street.

Not difficult at all. Use a stiff wire as a pull string. There is a cover plate on the inside that the vehicle harness goes through. Pop it off to run the wire for the light.
For the footwell light, orange is positive and the black negative.
