My car came with a walmart everstart battery. It went bad once, and even without the receipt i got a small warranty. If it goes out ever again. I'll most likey buy another. otherwise I typically stick to the interstate batteries at Costco, but the corvette isnt carried there.

I replaced my OE Delco with another one when it died after ~5 years. If you got 6+ out of the one in there now I would just replace it with the same one.

Very helpful, thanks. Since my battery is in the passenger compartment, I believe I need the AGM style.

You do not have to go AGM (unless it is a specific ZR1 requirement), as my GS also has the battery in the rear compartment. You should connect the vent hose, which might limit your choices.
I bought a Duralast Gold with a 3 year warranty from Autozone last month when my ACdelco died. I read online that the company that made the Diehard Gold batteries make the Duralast Gold. I liked the Diehards, so I bought a Duralast.
I just put a second Optima Red Top in mine after the last one lasted 4-1/2 years. It didn't need to be changed, but I don't like taking chances on aging batteries.

Yup.
I got a Duracell at Sam's ub for my GS. It's worked great. Great price and warranty too.
I just bought an Interstate at Costco. Great price and service.
Only problem is all the Costco stores on Long Island NY do not stock them at the stores although they are in the store manual. You must go to the counter and they order one they arrive at the store in a week. I have also read good reviews on the Walmart everstart Maxx
But its 40 bucks cheaper and they will prorate for 2 years after the third year.
"Corvette" and the words "cheap" or "cheaper" typically don't go hand in hand. I don't look for bargains when it comes to my car. I look for quality. WalMart doesn't fall into that category.

AC Delco batteries from the Chevy dealer are very reasonably priced. It’s what I used.
I got 5 1/2 years from my AC Delco and replaced it with......an AC Delco. Only reason I replaced it was because I was going on a 4,500 mile cross country trip and wanted piece of mind. You can pay more for those red or yellow batteries if ya want. I would NOT waste the money.
