Long story short. Pa. filed a lawsuit to close down the car shows because of the Wutang virus. Carlisle Events fought it and won. All car shows are going ahead as planed. I was over their today and had a great time.

Like I said, a long story short. A lot of politics involved. People that are uncomfortable can stay home and I can go to the shows and enjoy myself. Corvettes at Carlisle 2020.

That's good to hear. There is a lot of stupidity going on in certain states these days.

This show usually brings in 100,000 people. Probably not all at the same time. The fairgrounds is over 80 acres! I think they have enough room to spread out.

I knew the suit would be withdrawn when the judge said in open court... It seems the department of health has no rhyme or reason when they go after someone, and I saw the governor walking with all the protesters, but he did not, nor did the department of health feel the need to address it. Case withdrawn Friday lol

It's going to be interesting between now and the end of August till the Corvette show. All states are showing upswings in virus numbers, by August, we may all be shut down again. Opening up had to be done, but it sure isn't going well as far as the virus spread is concerned. And a lot of bad decisions being made all around.
Come August, I'll decide if I want to risk going to a show that attracts 100,000 people or not. Spring Carlisle was so small this year that it was hardly a true test.

Paranoid or not, I am going to wait till next year just in case. Recently had a friend pass away due to COVID-19 complications, I did not consider her a “high risk” even though she had smoking related lung issues, guess I was wrong…. I think it’s time for me to quit as well.

Sorry to hear about your friend. I quit 2 years ago. I talked to my doctor for advice. Good luck and see you in 2021.

My uncle had his funeral this past Friday from Covid complications. My wife is a RN and sees this everyday. Not going out in crowds like car shows or Vegas for the rest of this year. I have plenty of non-crowd things to do to keep me busy.

Out of curiosity... How many 2012 CBM ZR1's do you see at that event...? Mine is 1 of 11... and 1 of 2 with the Cashmere interior...

Your health. Your life. Your choice. I'd prefer to play it safe and make sure I don't die because of a car show.

My wife is a nurse too. I 100% agree. My son is a nurse and now in med school and the things he see's would change people's minds. Bodies just piled up in refrigerated truck trailers. Lungs turned hard like cement. Strokes in 30 year olds. We have no understanding of Covid. Damn the politics and media our first responders are trying to tell us and we are not listening.

The spring show was about 1/2 of normal. The Chevrolet show has been down lately, if you get bored, you can come to the protest in Carlisle Saturday. My family went through the covid, benefit of being a first responder... At least we should have immunity but who knows. Looks like the parades are off but the shows are on.
