So when putting car into learn mode what should dash display be ? Mine just says accessory on? I do have a Diablo tune would that cause the problem of no acknowledgement of tpms sensors? Thank you
Success! Once again Dano (and the forum in general) has come in clutch with great information.
I just did my first hour-long drive and the issue appears to be gone. Before wrapping the wiring, the sensors would stop reading after 30-40 minutes every time.

My 2012 doesn't display anything when in relearn mode. Just a honk from the horn when put into relearn mode, a single honk as the first 3 sensors are relearned, then a double on the last.
Well the Pioneers have a history of causing hissing and static noise in the speakers in some C6s, so it's a pick your poison kind of thing. Seems we have a confirmed-fix for this problem now.
yeah that always seems the case - trying to nail down my own TPMS issue now - not sure if its just old units or something else - this thread gave me a lot of ideas of where to start looking though
I’ve tried that one also with no help people I bought tires from say I have ateq Sensors so need ateq tool bought one of those to no help
If they are not OEM sensors are they compatible out of the box, or do they need to be initialized in some way with a special tool before your car can even communicate with them? Was that done if so?
I recently purchased a Kenwood unit to install in my 10 GS-I haven't seen problems listed on here like this before-Surely everyone with Kenwood units aren't having problems-

If I'm reading correctly, the two in this thread with issues (myself included) had 2011s. Not sure if that's a coincidence since it's such a small sample size. Could also just be the Kenwood itself. Or a combination of factors. Who knows. Glad you aren't having the issue, it was annoying to have to take the dash out and fix, but now I'm pretty good at getting back there.
stumbled on this thread. I swap wheels very often (street > track > back) and use the TPMS tool succesfully to relearn both sets.
I do have an aftermarket head unit, and it didn't make learning a problem...but, streaming music from my phone to a bluetooth speaker in the garage while I'm working on the car does.
When I switch the car to accessory to learn TPMS, the signal from my phone to the bluetooth speaker automatically switches to the car audio and causes issues.
Now, I turn off the bluetooth speaker in the garage and car headunit before trying to relearn codes.
I really appreciate this thread. On ~150 mile one way drive this weekend, my TPMS sensor in my passenger rear tire alerted it lost connection. This reset when during a stop we made. It seemed to re-occur each time we drove a ways. I feel like it has something to do with a charger my wife plugged in later in our drive for her Pixel phone. More testing needed, but I am going to for sure deploy a bit of aluminum foil when I replace the head unit. Changing the charger or having her use a power bank in the car is a lot easier/cheaper than swapping out TPMS sensors.

just to update the thread, turned out to be the wireless phone charger I had mounted in one of the center vents. as soon as I removed that, the issue went away
Bumping this thread because it's one of two that has all this great info about Kenwood receivers causing RF interference with the TPMS sensors.
I took apart the console tonight and wrapped all the wires with foil. The remote sub wire and RCA cables go through the center and I now have all the headunit wiring tucked to the left instead of the right. I'm having 4 new TPMS sensors installed on Thursday so my fingers are crossed that this fixed it. I will update this thread later in the week.
I got the TPMS sensor not reading on Drivers Front. I also have the Kenwood receiver. Did the aluminum foil work?
I was thinking of replacing the TPMS on my 2013 and/or wrapping the wires on the receiver in aluminum. I assume the TPMS sensors have batteries that will weaken over time and provide weaker signals.
What TPMS are on a 2013 GS? Are they the black version? Is there a programmer that can test TPMS battery strength?
Rock Auto shows 2 options for TPMS a 315 and 433 MHz
Hi - I have a Kenwood DNX 9980 on my '08 with 0 TPMS interference.
The batteries in the TPMS will weaken over time. They can last up to 12 years.
There is no way to test the TPMS battery.
On my '08 (purchased new) I changed tires and TPMS's for the first time in April 2020. The TPMS's were working fine, but I thought it wise to change them. So that was 33,649 Miles and 12 years.
