yes... you absolutely would replace a defective part with a known defective part. That balancer fails on you once on the road and your whole motor is F'd.

Have you replaced yours? If you have how did you process loosing the factory balance?

.
I did replace it and I have a thread of it. For a long time my alternator was not charging the battery. I would get new alternatos but the oem one was always fine.. the new ones acted the same.. my car wouldn't turn on when trying to go home from work.. i dealt with this for a long time couldn't figure it out.
then I discovered that balancers have an effect on voltage. Dampeners charge lss and vise versa. I knew that my balancer was probably the culprit because it had some wobble therefor this wobble was affecting my charging system. it was not consistent. I assumed this.
I replaced my slightly wobbly balancer to a powerbond and problem solved.
Why don't you tell us all what possible way a wobbling balancer could affect the voltage. And then you can tell us how washing your car makes it run better.
Why don't you explain to me how changing my balancer fixed my charging system problems.
look man, I assumed that's what it was because even ati super dampers cause low voltage problems. I assumed a wobbly balancer may affect voltage somehow so I changed it, and tada it worked.
literally go do some research on balancers and voltage
I changed mine back in 2015 do to it was chirping and had just purchased an sc kit so I figured might as well get an ATI and have it done with the sc install. 5 years later and no issue with the ATI . Well worth it even though at first it hurt coughing up the $$$ lol
You made the claim, the burden of proof rests on you.
I'm not trying to prove anything though.
But do you really want me to go on here and do look at these claims for you? I just went with what others said and heck it worked.

Well, that's a great explanation of how a wobbling balancer could cause an electrical problem. So basically you don't know how it could be related. And that makes sense because there is no relationship unless the balancer fell off.

I'd like to know how a wobbling HB would cause charging issues?
Yes, my HB was replaced with ATI and alternator with Mechman but these issues were not related.

How many miles have you driven with your ATI damper? Is your car a manual or auto? I watch mine closely at 30000 miles all good so far. Just freaked about the balance procedure that GM used. Think it is more of an issue with the manual than auto.
