I'm starting to notice a slight wobble in my harmonic balancer so looking at getting it changed, was debating going stock but I've been told that ATI is the way to go. Which option should i choose since they have so many choices? I have a base model 2009 3LT (links are appreciated)

Thank you for the input!
You can also get a Powerbond PB1117SS.
I went with this one and have had no problems ever sence. Made very very well. I highly recommend
I know if mine needs to replaced will use the GM replacement. Would be concerned about not following the factory replacement procedure balance weights. 2012 LS3 M6.

FYI your LS3 balancer is neutral balance. The engine is internally balanced. Powerbond works just fine. Rock auto around $200.00 plus tax and ship.

Fact: There are balance weights in every stock balancer and the GM procedure explains how to make sure you remove them from the old balancer and put them in the new replacement GM balancer at the same locations. How important are they? I don't really know but I'll guarantee you that they are there for a purpose.

Great. However why do we not install them on a ATi or Powerbond balancer ?

Because those are a totally different designs and there is no way that they can be balanced to your specific engine like your original balancer was. So those aftermarket balancers just ignore that fact and keep their fingers crossed that it doesn't cause a problem that you blame them for.

Bet some of the trick aftermarket dampers do cause problems over time. GM does not spin balance engines for no reason.
In my years being here on the Corvette Forums I have seen dozens of threads about OEM balancers failing. I've only seen one about an aftermarket balancer failing, and I'm thinking that it was probably a one-off incident. If I ever have to replace the one on my car I'll go with one of the one's that's proven it doesn't fail rather than putting an OEM timebomb back in my car.

So you would replace a known defective part with the same defective part?
