It's normal. I have headers, catless x-pipe. and NPP, and for the first few seconds after a cold start it sounds and rocks like a race car then calms down into a quiet rumble. I wouldn't worry about it, and just enjoy the sound and feel.
So I figured something out. If I press the start button without the clutch pedal pushed in (to let the fuel pump prime) then it fires up and is smooth every time.... but if I just start it without letting the fuel pump prime then there is some hesitation for a few seconds almost like it has a big cam in it. Try that and see if it helps

hmm, that's interesting. Definitely feels cammed when I start it but I haven't tried it without the clutch...
