First dumb question WRT our new to us C6. How is the removable top secured in the hatchback area? We currently have the extra top stored there, and the owners manual is under it, so can’t read up on any info wrt it. Is there some sort of latch holding it in place or a lever to pull to release it? It’s pretty secure and I don’t want to risk damaging something by pulling up on it to hard. Thought I’d better check first.

 

Look up owners manual on line and go to section 2-19 and see if it helps. I’m sure a targa roof person will respond soon.

 

Pull up from the rear. Just give it a quick tug.

 

Tried that, but perhaps not hard enough? So there’s nothing in the way of a latch that needs to be released? Just trying to be cautious with our new baby. 🤗

 

All the way at the back. Grab with both hands and give it a yank.

 

Pins on the rear of the targa top get pushed down into locking mounts. Front is hooked into place. Pull up from the rear to get the rear locking mount to release the pins and free the targa top.

 

Got it. Thanks guys. Just wasn’t giving it a good enough yank. As they say, better safe than sorry! 😱
