Default Base splash guards

Has anyone installed splash guards on a base model? If so, whered you get them? I see Amazon has them for $30 and corvette mods has them for $130. Curious what the difference is, if the quality is worth an additional $100. The Amazon items have mixed reviews as far as fitment and installation.

Any suggestions/insight is much appreciated.

My experience, I bought the cheap ones on Amazon. They looked cheap, and the double sided tape was not sticking. I also contacted CM who said there product is OEM, but they are not. Watched eBay for quite awhile, and bought a set of OEM splash guards and they were of good quality that cost me about $135.00.

Someone might have had a better experience with splash guards bought on Amazon and eBay.

I went through three different sets before buying the OEM ones. Doesn't matter how much they are (I think I did get them for around $100), they work great and look like the car should have come from the factory with them on.

I have the OEM ones. Agree, they work great, you can barely see them and when you do they look like they should be there, and the cars should have come from the factory that way.

Whatever you decide, don't buy anything from Corvette Mods.

I searched the internet for a couple of evenings, there’s not a set of the OEM splash guards to be found. You’ll see plenty of dealer pages showing them for sale but none of them have them in stock.

I put Z06 quarter panels on and used the factory splash guards.

I found a set of splash guards for a narrow body and used the front pair.

Seven Blacksmiths. Ordered from Amazon.

The have only been on for a month but the are ok so far.

I have the OEM ones on my 2006 Base model. They fit perfectly and are barely noticeable. You do need to drill holes in the rear black fender lining to install the push pin fasteners. I purchased mine from Gene Culley - Cultrag Performance. Very satisfied with them.

You have a nice car, don't cheap out with non-GM splash guards. Easy to install.

I guess they say all four shipped but you only one shock per week. Maybe I signed up for the shock a week club.

Yes, but the modification is simple and easy. You will need to do a little trimming on the back edge go the guard and cut out some of the internal webbing on the Guard. Since they are plastic the trim work is easy.

I really doubt you'll ever find a set of OEM splash guards

Molded Splash Guards in Black

GM Part No.: 19170234

But never call Corvettemods or their other name Moderngenauto, either way you'll regret it !

19170239

I looked on eBay for about a year before I found a set. I tried 3 different after market sets and could not find a set of decent quality.
