Aaaaaaaaaaa!!! I was afraid that was the case. why would they do that???? I'm about to fly to pick up a car and drive back 30 hours, guess I will need to get an fm transmitter Bluetooth thing. Well, new stereo just made it to the top of the list.
It will have a USB port, plug in a 64 GB stick and it will play far longer than your trip.

Buy a $10 64 gb cruzer fit flash drive and you can copy your entire music library onto it and play through your Corvette stereo. It's so small you'll never see it.
With wireless Apple Car Play and my iPhone, I control my music with my voice. Just say “Siri, play (insert song, artist or playlist). Same for navigation. Just say “Siri, go to xxxx”. Or making phone calls. Just say “Siri, call xxxx”. No distractions whatsoever.
Or be like me and buy an a2dp receiver, plug it into the USB port and aux I put, and never worry about it again.
Never heard of these before, thanks. Kind of hate that they use up the USB port just to get power. I suppose one could plug a USB power supply into the 12 V power port but that's getting messy. I do see some that are battery powered but they are bigger since they have an internal battery.

This is what I did before replacing the headunit. Worked really well.

The one I used had a control unit that I stuck to the center console. It had play/pause, and skip forward and skip back buttons which made a huge difference in not needing to have my phone out with the screen on to control music. I'd give you the link, but Amazon stopped selling it for some reason. Here's one that's similar, but I have not used it:

Don't mess with the battery power ones, you'll inevitably forget to turn it off (leaving it connected to your phone as long as your within 20-30' of the car) or forget to charge it. Also the USB port turns on/off with the head unit, so it will auto connect/disconnect from your phone. And it's easy to pop it out and plug in a USB stick if you want to change.
