Did you get any DTC (error codes)? Mag ride error codes begin with "C". They may not be displayed on a basic scanner that only displays "P" codes.
DTC C0615, C0620, C0625, or C0630 are position sensor problems.
DTC C0575, C0580, C0585, or C0590 are actuator circuit problems

Could you feel a difference switching between Tour and Sport ? I have a 2006 3lt and can't feel a difference unless I drive quickly over a roller coaster type road (up and down). Otherwise, driving normally doesn't feel any different.

Before I bought new tires I could feel a difference switching from Tour to Sport. Tour was a smother ride as compared to Sport.
Right now the ride feels like I don't have any shocks!

not to be repetitive but, i suggested earlier to check the transaxle mounting bolts. and it you do check them, you have to try to separate the transaxle from the cradle.
just looking at them, they may look fine. but on mine, once you tried to separate it, it became obvious that, all four bolts were broken. didn't matter how good your shocks are. i had brand new mag rides installed. still felt like it was a buck board.
once these bolts were replaced ( and all of the leveling bolts, as these consequently damaged too ), the ride was immediately restored.
also check the level switches too ( i had one broken as well ).

When you say level switches, do you mean the ride height sensors? I'm watching this thread for ideas on my issue, just trying to learn without hijacking the OP's thread.

yes, i couldn't think of the correct name. i've replace several of those over the years. but transaxle bolts were the main problem i had.

Well guys I finally brought my Vette to a trusted Corvette dealership here in Southern NJ and they gave me some bad news. All four shocks have been leaking and have lost their magnetic fluid and that is what is causing my harsh ride. Now guys I have a spotless driveway where my car is always parked and have not seen any fluid spots and I am concerned??

Now I need your advice on the pricing as the dealer told me to sit down and have a drink.......LOL! Apparently these magnetic shocks are hard to find. He said it would take about four hours labor to change out all four shocks but the cost for each one would be around $830. That's $3300.00 plus labor!!!!!

My car is 9 years old, only has 35,000 miles on it, and has never been driven hard.
Help guys I need your advice.

TYIA!

You said you just got new tires, what is the pressure at?
When I drove away from discount tire after putting new tires on my car rode very rough.
I checked the pressure on the DIC and it was 40 on two and 38 and 37 on the other two.
I lowered the pressure to 32 and it rides great now.

i bought mine from rock auto ( delco replacement ) for about $400 each ( fronts and rears ranged in $ a bit ). now it's been about 2 years some i'm sure the pricing has gone up a bit but, i doubt that's doubled. unless it's covid pricing.

I tried Rock Auto earlier but it's like a maze trying to find the right part. Maybe it's me but I could not find the magnetic shocks!

wow! i just checked too and, they have do not a listing for front or back electro-magnetic shocks. and the pricing for the ones that they do have, seem to be what i paid for on the mag shocks.
wacky world out there. some one has to have to these.

not that i will help now but, here is what i purchased last time: are you looking under parts for a base model? maybe try the Z06 / 7.0L or ZR1 options.

Here's what I came up with on the AC Delco website for a 2013 Base Coupe:

Front shocks (same shock both sides):
Part# 580-1046 - ACDelco
Part# 19302775 - GM

Rear right:
Part# 580-1050 - ACDelco
Part# 19302779 - GM

Rear left:
Part# 580-1052 - ACDelco
Part# 19302781 - GM

You need that part information to search parts sites. It looks like you can get the front shocks on Amazon (with prime shipping if you have prime) at the time of this posting for a good price. They have the rears listed through third-parties for not-so-good prices.

It's highly unlikely the shocks are bad. It's normal for them to seep a little hydraulic fluid, which collects dirt. It's the easiest thing for a shop to say and easy to replace.

Agreed. Get a second opinion. I was told mine need to be replaced. I emailed Jim Mero and he doesn’t think so. It’s a huge money maker for dealers. Find someone who can and will really troubleshoot it.

It's perfectly normal for the mag ride shocks to "weep" some

If you look under (Rock Auto) Shock Absorber they need to have "Variable Time Damping Chassis (F55)" listed in the details for the shocks.
Fronts are: $410.79, RR:$407.79, LR: $328.79. I do not think it matters if it is Coupe or Vert.
