Looks like any muffler mod will be a no no. It also states that from the factory is ok but you cant do it yourself. Looks like mild to wild is toast. I didnt receive anything from the state

Wow. Sounds like businesses can’t even sell them anymore. Yea will be interesting to see how that is enforced. But if something sounds loud all that have to do is look at the tips and know they are not stock.

My guess is the motorcycle guys are going to be more pissed off than the car guys. Loud Pipes Saves Lives.
I was unaware of this new law and saw they could fine up to $1000 at officer discretion. From what I read anything over 60 decibels is to loud. That is like your speaking voice.

They have a similar law here in Montana but it only concerns motorcycles, and doesn't apply to cars, however it's not illegal to sell the pipes here. Pretty much everyone here has loud pipes of some sort or another on their motorcycles which pretty much makes it unenforceable, so the Leo's don't even bother with it. If everyone in NY got loud mufflers on their Vette's and Harley's it would probably be the same way there, unenforceable.

I think it's a shame. My Vette has cam, headers, and full exhaust. It can be loud when I want it to be but I try to get a little ways past my neighbors before I have too much fun. I know some mods can be obnoxious but stopping mods doesn't stop obnoxious drivers. This is all about the push to force people into EV anyways.

Some Libtards will move to Red states and try to turn them into the dumps that they just moved from- no doubt. PLEASE don't think because of the voting might of major population centers across America that the majority of people in those blue states ( NY is a great example ) are Dems/ Libs... WE are NOT !! And many people ( myself included ) will absolutely be moving the hell out of a blue state come retirement time, and the political flavor of an area will be the number 1 deciding factor of where we spend the last phase of our lives! I promise you that we have NO intention of turning anyplace into the place we had to leave!!
