I had one set powder coated with Prismic Powders "Gateway Grey" and they were a little dark and the flakes were a little large. I'm about to do another set and I believe I'm going to use Prismic Powders "Ultra Charcoal". Here's a link to Ultra Charcoal:

For reference, here's a pic or two of the Gateway Grey:
I've decided to go with "Wet Charcoal" instead of "Ultra Charcoal".
I've been really torn between a gloss black and the Ultra Charcoal(comp grey) and I've decided to go with an in-between color. Part of my decision was due to the photos on the Prismatic website that actually shows a silver Grand Sport with Ultra Charcoal wheels. There was something about the way it looks that I didn't like.

Did you order a sample of Wet Charcoal? I have a sample of Ultra Charcoal and held it next to one of my brand new Comp Gray front wheels. It’s about as close as you can get. I think the pics you are referring to of the silver GS is just due to the lighting. Anyway, here is the pic of Ultra Charcoal next a real OEM comp gray wheel.
My decision is based more on the fact that I cannot decide between black and comp grey. I believe Comp grey is a great color and I believe the Ultra Charcoal is the right color but I've decided to go a different direction.

Thanks. I'll likely start a thread with the Wet Charcoal color to keep from cluttering up this "Comp Grey" thread.

I have a sample that my guy gave me. I'll post pics in the thread I start.
I agree with you about Ultra Charcoal being as close to perfect with Comp Grey. I also believe it's the lighting that's making me not like the comp gray with the silver GS.
That ultra charcoal looks close to your wheel for sure.
In my experience, in general, there is no such thing as a perfect match when it comes to powder coat. You can of course find things very close to what you have, but that is not like a paint shop that can do 100 custom blends and spray outs to find an exact match.
Even within GM's comp grey lineup, they were not always the exact same color from one wheel to another.

That's what my problem is. I bought a pair of brand new fronts from someone here on the forum, which to my eye are correct (it's the one in in the picture I posted) and I bought a pair of rears from a seller on eBay (also brand new OEM) and the color is a little too silver. It's hard to describe. If you search my posts, you'll see my thread about them.
