Default Jack point missing insert

I noticed in my "new to me" 2008 Z06 that one of the jack points appears to be missing the "insert" where the puck would fit.

Is this a part that can be purchased, and if so, should I bother? I have jacking pucks for the vehicle, but provided I place it properly, the jack puck still works on this area.

Not sure which parts diagram this would be under?

I've included photos of the "good" and "missing" jack points....

Missing insert?

I am willing to wager a half dozen paychecks that that is not available as a replacement part.

Ignore it. Use the puck or not. Pucks helps prevent accidental catching of the jack on the plastic rocker panel. Not needed if you take the time to look down and pay attention to where you are positioning your jack.

Fiberglass* rocker panel lol, I only know this because i cracked mine without the pucks.

If i had to guess that insert is inside of that frame channel somewhere, i doubt it could fit out of that hole on its own.

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm king of thinking it's in there somewhere too. It looks like it was riveted, so no idea what could have caused those rivets to fail (bad jacking at some point)? I may try to fish around in there with a camera/magnet.

"The Corvette hasn't been an actual fiberglass car since 1973. From GM Media: Starting with the third generation in 1968, the body parts were manufactured with a press mold process, whereby the fiberglass material and resin were shaped in a die-like tool that produced smoother parts more quickly."

Previous owner probably left a jacking puck in there and it got ripped out over a speed bump or dip in the road.

I would recommend putting on a set of Elite Engineering aluminum frame rails. They protect the rocker panels from scraps and add to the car permanent pads for jacking. Very well made and easy to install. I've had them on my car for several years.
