Keep up the rpm's up between shifts & you won't encounter this "feature" again
Sorry, but this makes no sense to me. So instead of the car dictating to you, what gear you should be shifting into, it is instead dictating to you what rpm's you should shift at, to avoid being told what gear to shift into.. Sounds like you replaced one driver control issue with another.
Not going to hold my breath, but GM/Chevrolet should offer all C6 mt owner a free fix and apology for ever putting this unnecesssry and annoying gadget on their cars in the first place.

GM did this as a work-around to avoid a gas guzzler tax of over $1000, which would have been passed on to the consumer. It takes advantage of the specific features of the gas mileage test; nobody believed it actually improved real-world mileage.

Not to mention that GM was kind enough to make the system simple and cheap to defeat. They should be given credit for that.
Perhaps a little more information is needed. If the circuit is opened the car will fail OBD test and a check engine light will be displayed. To prevent that message two methods of fooling the OBD test were identified with both methods opening the circuit and installing a small resistor. Some of us just installed a resistor at the connector that plugs into the transmission, some bought a mating connector installed and some used the fuse box location to do the same thing. Problem comes when a resistor that cannot handle the current flow of the OBD test. The resistor will fail. It does not matter if it is in the fuse location or attached to the transmission harness a low wattage rating resistor will fail. Of course, reprogramming is an option but if that is all your doing it seems to be the most expensive option.
I am going from memory, but I think the car has to be over X degree coolant temp, engine RPM within X range and throttle pressure under X %. That is what people mean when saying just drive through it. A few more RPM or a little more pressure on the pedal will turn the feature off. I would rather deal with this than paying gas guzzler tax. A correct fuse is pennies and can be installed yourself or if you don't work on cars then pay someone to do it. I have a bare resister installed in the harness on all three of my C6 cars and they have not failed yet.
