Why ???!!!
Have you ever noticed how many people get their brand new cars in accidents? That's why.
I am a gear head at heart, its in my blood. But things have changed for me over the last decade. The one above was a learning lesson for me about 8 years ago.
This time getting my second corvette it wasn't all about what I wanted. I allowed my wife to influence my decisions this time between two car mfgs/models, color, price and manual vs automatic.
The result? So far I have a wife that was never into cars and every other week now drives around like a typical car enthusiast with the color she loves and an automatic so that she can share in the enjoyment of the Vette.
Whenever my wife gets her energy into things having to do with big purchases for us, I blaze the general direction: she comes in, puts her energy into it and we do fantastic.
I haven't lost money or got my butt kicked in a major purchases in years because of this.

After all, you assume the trucks move was passive aggressive behavior and turnabout is fair play.

I have learned to laugh it off. Just remember some people are jerks and its their problem not yours. 😎

I'm driving a C5 ($18k car) and recently bought a C4 ($6k car). If someone in an $80k suv wants to park close they're the ones at risk. Especially if it's leased and needs to be turned in later.
Every time I see a Corvette I make sure I park right next to him. 😅 👍
