Default Corvette multifunction switch ( turn signal)

Hello I have an 07 corvette z51.. I’m having issues into how to remove the multifunction lever.. and tips? I couldn’t find any screws around the shroud on the steering wheel.. the only reason I’m changing it it’s because my high beams come on every time I turn on my turn signals , or even touch it slightly.. any ideas into why it’s doing that? I’m hoping by changing the multifunction it would solve the problem .. thanks and happy new year!

Can't say I've ever pulled mine. I did find this but it's for an 01 so I don't know is it'll be of any help.
Later if I get a chance I'll look through my service manual, and see if I can find any additional info.

There are no screws in the steering column shroud. It just snaps together.

when I replaced mine a few years, once you get the column cover off, it should be fairly obvious on what screws to remove. my biggest engineering complaint was on the lower pigtail.
It is mounted down the column a way. tricky to get to release the catch on the plug. of course, once you do get it released, then you have fuss around with connecting the new pigtail.

Did mine a while back. I remember I had to turn the steering wheel to a certain position to get to one of the screws.

Where did all of you source your replacement switch from? Mine just started doing the same thing.

while the one(s) shown may not be the exact version, that is the switch in question. i had mine go out a few years ago ( high beams coming on intermittently ). the new switch did the trick.
one of the pig tails was a small pain to access, but otherwise, relatively easy fix.

Part is ACDelco D6244E. Don't recommend getting a no-name

$49 with free ship if you are an Amazon shopper.

if that is your current experience, i would change the switch. small PITA to change, but still doable in short time.

Do you know where the torx screws are that the service manual says holds the shroud. I am trying to replace mine but I cant find any screws, and I dont want to break it trying to get them off.

There are no screws holding in. The 2 halves just snap together. My car is an '06 and I'm pretty sure they're all the same regardless of year.

Headlights and Foglights are on 2 separate power and ground circuits…may be best to start a new post with your concern..you can’t go by it “appears good” !!…there was a TSB (Campaign) concerning this but only affected the low beams and not the fog lights.

There are no screws holding the shroud. I just did this fix. The shroud is hard to pull off so don't be afraid to use some force.

Default Correct Switch for Column with Telescopic?

My 2007 with the 3LT package has the same problem as the OP.
I'm having trouble trying to find the correct switch. It has the N37 Steering Column (telescopic & tilt) and the UK3 Steering Wheel Controls.
Rock Auto offers them with or without Steering Column NP7. No mention of Steering Column N37.
Anyone know which switch is correct for the N37 Steering Column that comes with the 3LT package?

Update 3-11-2025
The Delco 6384D Turn Signal Switch fit perfectly with the "Tilt & Telescopic" steering column in my 2007 Corvette.
All the functions wok and the short that caused the bright headlights to come on when signaling, is GONE!

Steering Wheel Controls doesn't effect the multifunction switch. So, just choose the one for tilt steering.
