Default Morimoto Headlight question

Hey all, for those of you that have installed Morimotos, do they come with new rubber gaskets or do they no longer utilize the gasket? Tried to find info on this but no luck. Customer ordered a set for me to install while we have everything out and his factory ones are shot. Just want to be prepared. Also anything else I should know? The cars completely disassembled at the moment so cant imagine it wont be straight forward but don't want any surprises when we go put everything back together.

My lights came with the gaskets included, both in my original purchase and then again on a warranty replacement. Only other thing I can think of is whether they want a true blinker, or if they want sequential blinkers, which requires a different method for wiring for each iirc. I went with the sequential blinker.

Gasket comes attached to the headlight. Only thing you have to do is screw in the mounting studs.

Yes they come with the gaskets, I also went with the sequential blinkers, to change them involves either leaving a connector hooked up (non sequential) or unplugging it for sequential. I did a write up where you can cap them off if you unplug them to prevent them from corroding. You can read about it here. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...onnectors.html

As others have said, the gaskets come preattached. The posts on the bottom of the lights don't seem as long OEM. I had to use a bunch of washers to get them to sit right in the opening. I need to remove them, and swap the posts from an OEM set I have and see if that fixes it.

Yep, I used the OEM studs with the lights, don't know if it made much difference.

Mine seemed to fit too low and leave a larger gap on top that I couldn't adjust to fit perfectly. I ended up getting plastic washers to shim for a perfect fit.

The only thing I would add is , mine need alot of adjustment. they were aimed at the sky from the factory.

Yep mine too, the sticker on the lights said not to exceed 3 full turns of the adjusting screws, after turning mine 3 turns, they were still aimed to high, so I contacted Cole @VetteLights who I bought them from and asked if I exceeded 3 full turns and something were to happened to them as a result, if they'd agree to replace them should something happen to them, and he said they would, so by the time I got them aimed properly it took about 5 full turns total on the up/down screws, but nothing failed in the lights, and alls been good since. Both sides were like this. Here's a little guidance on how to aim them properly. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...eadlights.html

I second that they required a lot of adjustment. mine were also aimed at the sky. Gasket was included and installed on the light, all I had to do was stick it in the hole and tighten it down. I opted to keep the sequential front blinker option on mine.

Got them the other day, turns out he ordered the non LED style from Ebay, but honestly quality seems great. I transfered his Ballasts and HIDs and from what I can see so far (with the front bumper off and nothing tightened down yet) they seemed to be aimed about right. I'll have a better idea once we get the front fenders wrapped and I can lock everything back down.

The problem with those is that the high beams still use a Halogen bulb which isn't near as bright, and converting the high beam to HID sucks also because it take them awhile to come up to full brightness, So they're really no better than the stock lights brightness wise.

These utilize the highbeam for the low and high with a projector slide. We tested it yesterday, works great. They look just like the c7 moris but they have an aditional lightbar and they seemed to be diffused a little bit better. For $500 bucks not a bad buy for someone on a budget. Took some fiddling to get the bulbs to set right but once they did they seemed to be just fine.
