Correct, the C6 bolts don't match the threads or hole size on the C7 seat base. You'll re-use your buckles and tensioners from the C6 seats. That silver bolt from the C7 seat was larger than the one from the C6, which is why you have to drill out the bracket for the buckle*. The bolt goes through the bracket and into the threads in the seat base.
*Correction: bracket for the belt

I assume you can't reinstall the C6 seats after hogging out the hole without replacing that metal piece?
I am honestly not sure, but you aren't expanding the hole much and it's just a pass-through, no threading in it. I would guess that you could go back to the C6 seats and pull the belt bracket forward when you tighten the bolt. That way the belt bracket can't move forward at all in an accident because it's already resting against the shaft of the bolt.
@C6_Prodigy Just got some GT C7Z seats and trying to get passed step one of removing seat belt buckle lol. I swear I’m equipped to handle this, lol. How do you disconnect the black wire on the C7 buckle? Am I missing a step here?

It's not easy but if you dig around in the side of the seat you can find the plug and disconnect it. Once it's disconnected it will pull out. It's very tight but doable. Depending on the positioning of the seat, it may be easier/harder. Depends how far forward the seat is on the track as well as how far folded over the seat back is. I had no problem on the driver's side but found the passenger side very difficult. Sounds like that may be what you are coming across.
I was not aware that I could get ventilated seats in my C6. All other potential mods are officially on hold until I make this happen! Now, where to find the seats...
If I remember correctly it's a very shallow nut and I know I had to use a 3/8" impact gun on it.
I understand that and I got the pretensioner off the seat. But I still have to remove the shallow nut off the pretensioner cause in the picture you show when installing it back on the c7 seat. The shallow nut is not on there..

You can pop or press that "nut" out of the pretensioner from the other side, it's more like a hollow bolt that goes through the pretensioner. It doesn't need to be drilled out.
Wanted to update this thread. Since I did the roll-up method with the passenger side occupancy sensor, I always have to leave the passenger seat belt plugged in, otherwise the car chimes thinking there's a passenger not wearing a seat belt.
I ordered these for $1.06 shipped (price jumped to $1.46 when I went to take the screenshot) and they slide into the seat belt receiver with a very satisfying click. With the shape and the finish, they almost look like they were made for the car. A lot of the other options are all metal or look cheap with the design they have on top. They also range in price from $10 to $35. Now I don't have to always have my passenger seat belt buckled and when someone gets in, I can just pop this little piece out and put it in the console. This would also work if you have a seat belt harness and wanted to disable your seat belt alarm while using the harness.

I ordered on June 20th and got them yesterday, June 25th. The estimated delivery date was July 5th but it came way faster. The tracking shows it going through customs so it got here pretty fast.
I followed this thread very specifically but didnt have the results you had. After about 20 minutes of drive time my car throws the airbag light. Code B0092. If i unroll the occupancy bladder, the light will go away and it will reports a passed condition. Ive tried this 3 times now, each time slighty changing the location of the bladder or how tight the zip ties are. Each time i have the same results. I can only clear the code from the scanner if the car has already removed the light itself. I have the bladder tucked in the back of the seat, and the sensor under the seat above the plastic seat framing.
Anyone have any sugguestions or input on what i possibly have done wrong?

I moved the C6 bladder over to my C8 seats and it works as designed. I lifted up the cushion and put it in a similar area, ran the hose out one of the holes on the bottom seat pan. Been working fine for 2 years this way.... worth a try
