Has any one converted to the Morimoto headlights and were they worth it? Does anyone have another brand that is better or cheaper. I think I am going to buy the Morimoto's but I always check with the forum before making such a purchase.
Thanks

Personally don't like the Morimoto headlights - makes a C6 look like a C7 wanna-be. C7s are nice (I park next to one at work), but we have a C6 for a reason.
I opted for brighter HIDs, LED high beams, and VLEDs V6 Extreme White Amber Switchback 3157s. Keeps the classic look, but with a modern touch.
I did swap out the tails for Morimoto XB LEDs. They look amazing.

I agree with this. The C7 has some sharp edges and their lights match, as the C6 body lines are more rounded. When the C7 lights are added to the C6 it looks odd to me.

LMAO. I always laugh at thread when the OP ask their question, "has anyone" in this manner. The last C6 rolled off the assembly line 10 years ago, so I'm pretty sure it's hard to be the first person to do anything that hasn't already been done before. I've wanted to answer thiis way before but haven't.
Besides, I'm sure for the people that paid the $$$ for the morimoto headlights aren't going to say they weren't worth it.
So the OP, why are you considering changing out your headlights? Are the original headlights faded and messed up? You just want a different look? Maybe get your lenses replaced and paint the bezel's black. That's usually cheaper than the morimoto route.
I love mine, but it's also not hard to beat the oem lights that were outdated before the car was released. Sure, you can upgrade the bulbs and redo the lenses on the factory units, but you're still stuck with a horrible looking assembly.
Forget who said this but made me laugh out loud and is a perfect description, the OEM lights make the C6 look like a salamander. I've got the carbon C8 lights and love them, every one has their own likes/dislikes.
The OEM lights look terrible, and very outdated. The Morimoto's update the car, and it looks so much better. The light is incredibly different, and much safer because you can actually see well. I changed the stock lights in the original housing to Swtichback LED's, and still no comparison with the Morimoto's. I highly recommend them! Love the Morimoto Headlights
When looking at the lights, look at the warranty on them, Morimotos have a 5 year warranty, a lot of the cheaper ones have only a 1 year warranty. I have the Morimotos, and they're great lights, I suggest if you get some to buy them from Cole @VetteLights there customers service is second to none.
Just bought and it came down to Morimoto or Infirai.
The decision was easy when the Arizona cops said that any tail light that is any color other than red was illegal.
Morimoto is available in Red or Smoke, whereas Infirai is only available in Smoke.
If you can run with smoke, the Infirai has some really cool individual programming switches built in, and Infirai is a little cheaper.

Quite the conundrum in those statements.
But I understand and ascribe to personal taste/choice.

OP asked about headlights, not tail lights. But maybe related threads struck again.

This isn't true. The tail lights just have to emit a red light visible from 500 ft. I guess the C7 Z06, various Toyotas, Lexus, etc. that come with clear tail lights OEM must be illegal?

This all day. Cops are often misinformed on vehicle equipment requirements. I've been pulled over for white side markers and a tinted liscense plate cover more than once. Both are legal here. If you have questions on the legality of your equipment you should lookup vehicle codes in your state yourself.
We just installed a set of the knock off morimotos in a customer car (the kind that uses your stock HID and ballast) and honestly I think they look everybit as good if not a bit better than the Mori's I've seen. If your on a budget not a bad buy. I dig the extra light bar too, gives it a little different character

Likely non-existent but for half the price you get what you get I suppose. I wasn't gonna argue with the customer though, his stock ones we're completely shot so anything was better than that.

And that's where the Morimotos are worth the extra $, imo. Whenever I hear someone say "I'm on a budget" my response is then you shouldn't be buying parts. Save up the money and buy quality parts so you only have to do it once.
Ive learned the hard way buying cheap parts when I was younger
