I find it more convenient to keep the battery tender on s shelf in the garage rather than in the car. Connect wires to the battery and use a battery tender extension wire. Connect the extension wire to the tender when you want. That way the tender can be used for more than 1 battery/vehicle. Some only need a top off every month or so. The rest of the time it can be attached to the Vette.

well its only the wires that are permanently mounted.
The tender is sitting on a shelf in the garage and I still have the aligator clips available if I need to tend another battery. so I think this works fine for me. all I have to do is plug the tender into the plug on the wires and disconnect when I go.
Attach mag connector in 5 sec. with hood, doors & windows closed, and car cover on. Done quicker.
I know it is so freaking convenient and quick! I have done it every way and stuck with Center Console and out the door for a year, finally decide to spend 80.00 bucks and make my Mag Hookup! Quick as **** and handy.
