When I bought my 2010 I put a Kenwood head unit in it. Adding a backup camera was the motivation. My new truck with Android auto spoiled me so I'm looking for recommendations. Backup camera and AA required.
There is no wrong answer here. Any of the major brands can easily be the choice here. Just look for a unit that has the features you are looking for and I always recommend to not hesitate to splurge a little. A head unit is a one time purchase for most of us, get all the features you want and then some.
I looked at Kenwood it is definitely the best, Im no audiophile and only use android auto so I went with Pioneers 3000NEX. Really happy with the quick stable connectivity
Where did you mount the GPS antenna? Do you even need GPS having carplay?
I mounted the GPS antenna under the dash on top of the center vents. As long as you don't don't mount it under something metal, it will work fine from under the dash.
one thing to check out is if you want wireless android auto in a head unit. My unit has a lot of disconnects with the wired part so I am using a wireless adaptor now never had a drop yet
I installed the Reversion Raceworks with Axxess AXDI-VET1 and love it. The only issue I have is the fader control does not work…no matter the settings, all speakers have equal sound

I just bought this for my c6 . It just happens to be a Kenwood , based on my needs and what I was willing to spend . Put the package together at CRUTCHFIELD .
I haven't installed it yet but it doesn't appear to be too bad of an install . I'll find out pretty soon . A warm week in central NYS coming up . I had them put together a "ready-harness" so I don't have to do any splicing . Supposedly a plug-and-chug . Looks pretty straight forward . I ALSO BOUGHT a USB extension cable to bring my rear USB port into the glove box . That only cost $8 . One can spend $200 to $2000 ----- it's all up to one's own fancy . Jimi Hendrix still rocks Corvettes . Peace and good luck on your sound project .

I just purchased a unit and peripherals from Crutchfield . The KENWOOD unit I bought was fifty bucks more for their step-up to a wireless Android model .
Fifty bucks is a no-brainer . Kenwood DMX8709S (Not installed as of yet)

After your done with install, look into flashing the Kenwood Startup Screen with the Corvette Logo
Well , THAT piques my interest . I'll have to research that --------- unless someone gives me a "tutorial" ....
It's in forum here, if I find it before you I will post. I may have to redo mine as I'm going to be flashing new firmware to it. So if I loose custom boot screen, I will need a refresher myself.
